'Masters of Swing is the first EP from two Berlin turntable-obsessives and features a sensitive electronic remake of the previously almost unknown French version of the hit 'Bei Mir Bist Du Scheen' by Jean Peyronnin and three more catchy versions of the Six Swingers, Harry Roy and His Orchestra and Carroll Gibbons & His Boyfriends.

They sourced their material from the Green Queen Music compilation ‘Mouthful O’Jam’, which blows new life into the aural treasures of the 1920’s and 30’s - an infamous and exciting era of decadent dances and smokin’ swing music - featuring the likes of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Lil (not Louis) Armstrong.

It was a fortunate accident when Germany-based DJs Wolfgang Lohr and Louie Prima met at the Electro Swing Revolution Party in February 2015 at Astra Club Berlin. 
Feeling that some new electro-swing tracks had become generic and a little safe, they began producing remixes and classic swing tracks which drew direct inspiration from the spirit and style of the ambitious pioneers from the birth of Electro Swing in 2010-2012.

Also known as DJ Globalution, this Electro Swing and World-Beats pioneer started his career in 1987 at the Club Atelier 89 in the former East Berlin.

He was one of the first Electro Swing DJ’s in Germany,

He is co- founder of the Electro Swing Revolution parties (together with Wolfram von Dobschütz) at the clubs Astra and Frannz in downtown Berlin as well as The Electro Swing Revolution Radio.

In the most cosmic sense of the word, Rome Fortune is Atlanta’s newest star. Over loose, dreamlike tracks from longtime collaborator Cubby, Rome gets extra real about his struggles: his parents, his children, and their mothers… his dreams, his demons, and the drugs that may be fueling both. Even Kaytranada produced single “Dance” is an outlier, an uptempo song about escape rather than elation. Yet nothing on Jerome Raheem Fortune is a drag; over the course of 11 potent tracks, Rome Fortune presents hip hop catharsis at its most compelling. Head towards the outer limits of rap with a guide who is intimately familiar.

"La French and German Connection - EP" (Ton liebt Klang) 
Aus einem Musikgeschmack entstand ein Kontakt, aus einer Verbindung wurde eine Kollaboration und aus einer Zusammenarbeit wurde eine gemeinsame EP. 
"incontrol" aus Lyon und "Wolfgang Lohr" aus Berlin produzierten zunächst nur virtuell, über Dropbox, zusammen und schoben sich gegenseitig die Bälle zu. 
Dann wurden die Ideen im Studio ausgearbeit und finalisiert. Das Ergebnis ist ein Electro Swing Track "Le Swing Ist King", der mit seiner eingebauten 
Tanzgarantie nach vorne peitscht und einen satten Ohrwurm hinterlässt. 
Der zweite gemeinsame Track "Holy Blues" siedelt sich im noch recht frischen Electro Blues Genre an. Hier treffen bluesige Vocals auf Mundharmonika, 
Gitarre und eine satte Glide-Bassline.

Abgerundet wird die EP durch starke Remixe in eigener Interpretation, von "Shemian" (Deutschland), der als einer der Electro Swing Pioniere gilt, 
und 2011 sogar für einen der besten Electro Swing Artist nominiert wurde. Und "Grant Lazlo" (Marseille) der in Frankreich und auch international 
zu einer echten Größe mutiert ist! Die EP wird sowohl auf Vinyl, als auch digital im Juni 2013 bei dem Hamburger Label "Ton liebt Klang" released. 
Eine starke Symbiose, mit viel Groove und Melodie für den Club….c'est la vie!

Hanseatischer Ska - ohne Gräten!
Eine Gitarre peitscht durch den Raum. Zackige Offbeats schmiegen sich an einen marschierenden Basslauf - gefährlich wie ein Gewehrschuss knallt eine Snaredrum den treibenden Takt dazu. Neun smarte Herren in dunklen Anzügen blicken provozierend in das Publikum. Die ganze Bühne wippt. Spätestens als vier Bläser auf die Bühne rennen und eine fette Hymne in die Massen schmettern, wippt der gesamte Club. "Das Kartell" gibt seinen Tanzbefehl raus - Widerstand zwecklos.
Seit 15 Jahren kombiniert die norddeutsche Combo kompromisslosen Ska mit deutschen Texten, die ihren Fans aus der Seele sprechen. Sie erlauben sich dabei musikalische Ausflüge in HipHop, Raggamuffin, Punkrock, und Jazz, ohne dabei den roten Faden des Jamaika-Ska auch nur für eine Sekunde aus dem Auge zu verlieren. Die Musiker aus den Hansestädten Lübeck, Wismar und Hamburg setzen nicht nur den Norden Deutschlands unter Strom. Mit ihren poplastigen Refrains und den ausgefallenen Arrangements überraschen sie regelmäßig Konzertbesucher in ganz Deutschland. Auch auf Bühnen in Berlin, Hamburg, Hannover, Leipzig, Dresden und Schwerin fühlt die Band sich zu Hause.
Beim Mekka der Ska Musik, "This is Ska" in Rosslau, dem "Dynamite Ska" in Leipzig oder dem "Force Attack Festival" bei Rostock haben sie vor bis zu 12 000 Leuten den Offbeat-Hammer geschwungen. Dabei haben sich die spielfreudigen Lebemänner mit den Ska-Titanen Rude and Visser (Holland), Bad Manners (England), den Toasters (USA) oder Skarface (Frankreich) die Bretter geteilt. Im November 2009 hat "Das Kartell" zusammen mit der Band "Blechreiz" ein aufgekauftes Konzert im legendären Berliner Club SO36 gegeben. Der dabei entstandene Konzertfilm und eine Band-Dokumentation wird im Sommer 20101im gut-sortierten Offbeat-Fachhandel stehen. Einen Vorgeschmack auf das Highend-Video gibt es bei Youtube.
