Influenced by a wide musical spectrum, between techno and breakbeat , but also idm and ambiant , he captivates the mind and curiosity, like a hypnotizing ride throught abstract sound waves.

In contrast to their previous EP’s, ‘Xenolith’ ups the intensity focusing on rugged breakbeats and destructive low end pressure. Across four tracks the duo experiment at different tempos, unearthing a myriad of themes inspired by forensic analysis and autonomous technological forces. Like alloys mysteriously grown from ore, fragmented artefacts of familiar origin take on new meaning. ‘Xenolith’ is bound together by complex and dystopian atmospheres forging perhaps Tracing Xircles most intriguing record so far.

Kicking off the third installment of our NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH is none other than the alien boogie commander Volruptus. The Iceland-born producer leaves his mark on every track he makes and ‘UFO Rider’ is no different - a classic Volruptus baseline with whirling, alien-like synths layered on top.

Taking the controls next is another Icelandic producer and half of Polar Attraction which is Jadzia. She’s been on a tear since she started releasing nothing but dance floor killers. She’s put together yet another electro heater for us with ‘Hycean’.

Third is Cincinnati native PTHGN. Although only bursting onto the Soundcloud scene recently, PTHGN is coming up on his 10th year in music production. The years perfecting his craft are on full display in all his tunes. Recently appearing on International Chrome’s IC10, he’s now blessed us with standout track ‘West Coast Freaks’.

Next up is someone we’ve worked with before, Lithuanian beast 5ZYL. He’s been active recently, releasing 2 sick EPs in quick succession over at PZ Records. He’s hit us with another high energy acidic track with ‘Purple People’.

Closing off this time is co-founder of Raiders, Young Lychee. A talented DJ & Producer, his tracks are always put together with pinpoint accuracy. For ‘Can’t Save Me’ he’s got 89 The Brain Child on the lyrics to make for an eerie electro classic.

Volruptus - UFO Rider

The notorious Glasgow producer, Fear-E is back on Hilltown Disco, after originally appearing on the Dundee imprint in 2019, this time with 4 tracks of techno-infused electro, plus a dance-floor geared remix on the A-side from one of the original Hilltown Disco collectives, J Wax.

Fear-E runs wild, broadcasting apocalyptical electro sounds, creating a seriously heavy-duty record to soundtrack the end of society in worlds not too dissimilar to earth. Punchy kicks, disturbing vocals from the mystical Mike James, and venomous sirens create a fresh take on the sound.

No nonsense electro.

New intergalactic four-tracker from ECHO Recordings with music from Loïcc, EEBONE, All Trades and 5ZYL, out April 22nd on all stores via Triple Vision.

Loïcc elegantly sets the stage with sonar-like nightcrawler ‘Ekman Layer’, gradually locking the listener into an ominous program that is best approached with caution.  

Following up is EEBONE with no-nonsense dystopian aggressor ‘Lost Space’, letting tight percussion take charge while tense keys ramp up the pressure throughout.

The stakes are then leveraged when All Trades fires on all pistons of rhythmic violence for ‘No Delivery’. A seven-minute barrage of detuned detonations leaves only wasteland behind.

From these ashes rises 5ZYL with ‘Absurd Control’, showcasing heavy-duty lows with a deep array of cosmic scanners, all bringing down the tempo while building up the next, unknown chapter to come.
