Carrying on with the momentum from DJ Panthr's excellent Source Drift EP, Sound Transitions proudly present a wildly reimagined soundscape in the form of a heavy hitting Remix EP. With remixes from Selfhood, Quelaan, Dpcld, and more, the EP takes material from DJ Panthr's bag of tricks and spins it into something else entirely.

Starting with Selfhood's slow building, emotional interpretation of "Liquid Light" with its stuttering drums and laser focused melodies to the head-spinning rhythms and rumbling low end of the Pinz & Pelz remix of "Source Drift" to the delicate deep house stylings of Memphis Glass to the abstract, wonked out IDM of 88b's version of " Shadow Realm" and finally arriving at Dpcld's featherweight, aqueous drum and bass version of "Liquid Light" the EP is a thorough journey through all of the dark corners of dance music.

Each producer brings their own unique voice and style to the already great tracks that DJ Panthr provided. They take the originals to new, unknown places in and around the dance floor. These remixes keep you on your toes and keep a smile on your face.

We’ve got an exciting twist in store for our monthly Cowbell Courtship show. Friend of the label and boss of @bass_water_freak_out @adrian-ash3r organized this episode for us and linked us up with some insane Aussie talent. 

For this takeover episode, we welcome @djlowclearance aboard for what promises to be a wavy journey.

Hailing from Warrang (Sydney), DJ Low Clearance provides us with a high-octane mix of electro, g-tech, techno, and breaks. A versatile selector behind the decks with influences ranging from some of the grimiest breaks around to pop sampled electro and everything in between, Low Clearance bends genres to his will, turning any mix into a blistering ball of high-energy sound waves that delights the senses.

Shoutout to Bass Water Freak Out, and many thanks to DJ Low Clearance for taking the time. Much love!

In times of so much technological stimulation, it is wonderful to have tools to make everyday things easier for us, but at the same time it is a bit scary how the algorithms that surround us daily condition and shape us as individuals, machines learn our behavior and even tastes, the filters of facial recognition know you, know where you are, the processing of our data, our emotions, I feel the algorithms know me more than myself.

Machine Learning represents all that, bots learning behaviours and humans in love with bots. What's Next?
