Based on Shirley's own double life with one foot in London's corporate world and another in the UK's underground dance circuit, Shirley's EP is inspired by the duality of her life. Drawing on genres such as footwork, UK bass, breakbeat and jungle, Shirley packages all five tracks in their signature playful style that creates her musical world that so many people love to party in. After his sold out "Fight dem Back/Nu Gun" 12" in 2017, Sun People is finally back with a banger of an EP for Through These Eyes.
In the last years he crafted his very unique and distinctive style at 160 bpm, which he now fully expresses on the "Stumble & Grow EP". Successfully he combines the powerful rhythms of Footwork with the deepness of (old school) Jungle and spices everything with a hint of Detroit. There's a thin line between doing the same thing over and over again and having a true signature sound, Sun People is demonstrating the latter perfect with these four tracks.
