Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a submarine filled with bass-heavy torpedos to Amen-Break the monotony of your isolated Thursday? Kind of: it's our man @novacheq from across the channel once again blessing us with an amazing tune to premiere. "Detached" is a fantastically melancholic banger filled with precisely chopped breaks and a sub to take your low end to the higher ground. The choon will appear on his forthcoming EP "Staying Alive" via Leeds-based @gimmeabreakrecords. This magical 3-tracker will definitely establish Nova Cheq even further as one of the few producers on our radar with the power to fuse pace, breaks and bass into something that feels truly unique and emotional (while still banging, of course).

Speed Gonzales - Shake That

Fly By Night welcomes INGI to the label for FBN009 with a combination of breaks, bass, techno and jungle. INGI reflects his diverse music taste in his debut release, exploring all corners of leftfield dance music. 

FBN009 kicks off with the bass-driven lead track ‘Neita’, setting the tone with thumping kicks and a thunderous low-end creating a tense and frenetic atmosphere. Neita is followed by the title track ‘Wrestle’, introducing more melodic elements from INGI’s repertoire, floating chopped up vocals interplaying with precisely programmed drums. INGI proceeds to speed things up for a warped, trippy take on jungle with ‘Góða Nótt’. Intensity is raised to the maximum level with echoing vocals, bubbling synths and hard-hitting chopped up breaks. The flip side features a hefty remix from Rhyvahl, who serves up a chugging bass-driven rework of Neita. The Off Beat boss’ reimagination features echoing warping synths and a thumping kick drum, with enough sub-bass to rattle any club’s system.

Our previous ghetto house release was dedicated to the originators of the classic Chicago sound, and this follows suit by paying tribute to Detroit, and the Electro OGs like Aux88, Drexciya, DJ Stingray, and more. These tracks are stripped back, raw, aimed right at peak time dance floor madness!

We had so many quality tracks submitted for this release, that we decide to split it into 2 EPs set for release this fall. This first pack features such Club Designs alumni as Garneau, Club Cab, Cherriep, Ludwig Lurch, E:91, Footclan, and new names like Ghostwhip, Darius The Barbarian, Mister Sticktalk, Sometimes Never, Trashkykid and label manager Sharkki.
