Well this show is something different to the norm Bass Scoops stuff, it’s a Myriad Recordings and Smooth and Groove Records special edition I  recorded  live interviews at their joint club night in the summer of 2024 in Whitney UK.

The night  was a  bit of  a who’s who of proper drum and bass and we got to interview the artists playing on the night  alongside the people at the labels and club that helped make such a great night come together. Kind of a hard shift from what we are used to with my music but I've been wanting to make something more atmospheric and less reliant on a sample for awhile now. The brief vocal sample is none other than Nina Simone, a personal favorite and a beautiful voice. She accents some crunchy and smooth filtered pads with a smooth first half, and an all amen second half. I hope you enjoy!

Bold and ferocious, but possessing infinitely eerie depths, Djinn's DJ sets and productions have become essential listening down in the brooding underbelly of drum & bass.
 
The last decade and a half have seen her transform into a stalwart of the Northern scene, a regular at London’s revered Rupture club nights, and an increasingly sought-after name internationally, having previously toured the US and making her Australian debut in May with a four-date. 

Meanwhile, a mere handful of releases have earned her a permanent residency in the record box of any self-respecting junglist — her highly technical, yet wondrously freeform weapons proving devastating each and every.
