Ben Gomori aka London-based producer and label chief G.Markus channels a vibrantly ethereal sound in his Square Peg, Round Hole EP, consisting of two sun-soaked house rollers. Opener Choom kicks off with a titillating crescendo, padded by warm vocals and a chunky bassline. Acid glitches add dance appeal, while keeping the melody afloat in an upbeat manner. Karumi is a slice of luscious piano house, with scintillating pads and an overall dreamy atmosphere. @samuellupianmx is a mad looking folk from our fav country of the world called Mexico and he's a perfect example of the brighter type of sendbro's. He kept sending it and then at a certain point we felt the flow of energy; "Get Out" is funny-bumpy ride tries to collapse in parts and then puts itself back together again, mastervibes.

Time passed and our boy hit us with "Ride Alone" to shine these twos an EP and we said why not?!, a well-crafted dancefloor heater is always a good tool for getting under skin and moving bodies to the rhythm.

The Brooklyn based DJ & producer, Brian Cid, returns to Audiofly’s Supernature imprint with a trio of spellbinding cuts on the ‘El Verano De Tus Ojos’ EP. With past releases for the likes of Balance Music, Guy J’s Lost & Found, and Get Physical, Brian is certainly living up to the plaudits he has received of late, from the support by artists such as Pete Tong, Damian Lazarus, Hernan Cattaneo and Lee Burridge, to high praise from the likes of DJ Magazine and Billboard Dance, who proclaimed “(Cid has) undeniably proven himself an artist to watch in 2019”. 

A brooding tone is set on the title track, ‘El Verano De Tus Ojos’, as Brian teases out shimmering percussive elements and squashed drum hits, as seismic melodies and a seductive vocal dialogue sit in an epic breakdown, unfolding into a mesmerising and sophisticated dancefloor warmer. Mystic vibes are very much in force on ‘Nebulae’, as an airy atmosphere is cemented over a muscular rhythm, whilst ‘Cazadores De Colores’ closes the EP with its chugging rhythm and electro-magnetic energy, its deft synth sequences reminiscent of Underworld’s classic ‘Rez’ in places. 

With a new label/events project called Endangered just launched, the future is looking positively bright for Brian Cid.
