This is a studio recording of a recently performed Acid Live Set at "Weißer Hase" Berlin. It is a rough take and an homage to my first Acid Techno experiences from 1994-1995 in Berlin clubs like E-Werk, Praxis, Vereinsheims, Tresor or Exit, when some 303 machines and one 909 were enough to rule the night. I am still in love with this sound. 

Don't expect any fancy sound design :).

Efdemin is a DJ, producer, multidisciplinary artist and a certified legend of electronic music. As a resident of Berghain his infamous sets attract a cult-like devotion and his releases on iconic labels like Dial, Curle and Ostgut Ton are equally as revered. He’s remixed superstar artists like Depeche Mode, Tiga and Moby and has even been remixed by the enigmatic maestro Traumprinz.

Hailing from Amsterdam, Bastienne has been making waves with her impeccably laid-down mixes and carefully curated selections. Through chiselled, laser-precise sets that showcase the breadth of her scope and minutely woven floor narratives, Bastienne moves the cursor from straight pumping house jack in Detroit fashion to Birmingham-style techno hybrids, via rowdy electronics and forward-pushing dubs. We’re beyond excited to be welcoming the sensational Hydrangea to Corsica Studios on 21st July, an incredible DJ and producer based in France but making beautiful, earthly ripples on the deep and atmospheric techno realms around the world; her personal ethos which can be felt throughout her music being: “Look deeper into nature and you will understand everything better.” We couldn’t agree more.

To immerse yourself in the sounds of Hydrangea is to immerse yourself in nature itself and with the attention given to her music - both productions and mixes - comes a very natural state of inner peace, acceptance and hopefulness. Spiritual techno, we like to call it, infused with atmospheric soundscapes and often deep, rolling, dub-like grooves grounding you like the roots of a tree. Hydrangea’s deep, contemplative sound, her talent for storytelling and the solidarity of her vision which radiates through everything that she does makes her a perfect artist for an On the 5th Day techno tale, and it was just a case of waiting for the perfect opportunity to lock her in.
