With Can You Handle It, we welcome back Ryan Dupree on Stil vor Talent after a longer hiatus. The result was definitely worth the wait though, as Ryan presents two catchy deep house weapons that can easily hold their own next to the genres big success stories of the past months. As a bonus, Ryans SVT100 compilation track can be found, alongside a convincing Teenage Mutants remix. While Joy offers itself as an uplifting slice of house thanks to rolling percussion, chopped diva vocals and an elastic bass line, Take Me Higher aims for the peak-time. Here, menacing acid sounds meet wild claps and a thunderstorm of synths. The title-track Can You Handle It then focuses on a low-slung, driving bass line and pitched-down spoken word. Lastly, Teenage Mutants reduces the originals elements to the essential to create a slow and spacious groover. You can literally smell the clubs sweat.
