Snatcher takes on an expanded Napstablook role. Scattered through Subcon Forest are various items that, whether direct or by other means, are related to Snatcher's past. This track would play with a lil storybook-esque flashback sequence when you pick up said items, seeing as Snatcher likely wouldn’t want to have a Napstablook style “chill” session with ya for the vast majority of this AU. (The storybook pages from Purple Rifts in AHIT proper come to mind for how this sequence might be theoretically handled!)

So uhhh ye! I always kinda knew that I'd base the Chill replacement off of Time Rift Storybook, even from day one. Short and sweet, but to the point. I even implemented (and slightly adjusted/fixed) a lil improvised melody from my old "synth jam" arrangement of it! And even with all the high quality instruments that I also used in here... sometimes I just CAN'T RESIST adding in Mixcraft's default Synth Strings 3 instrument with stuff like this lmaoooo.

The ever-agitated Mafia Boss takes on a hybrid Flowey and Mad Dummy role. He already wasn't a pleasant guy before (being mashed into mush and stuck in a jar certainly didn't help,) but ever since Mustache Girl took control, his anger has been off the charts! Above all else, he wants to get his body back and have his revenge on the red-hooded brat, and he sees Bow as the *perfect ticket* to grabbing the Time Pieces unhindered. Mafia Boss is encountered several times throughout the story, always coming at Bow with some sort of scheme (hairbrained or otherwise) to get her killed. This track plays before battles that, in one way or another, were caused by Mafia Boss' interference.

...Yup you're seeing that right. This track is higher up in the OST order, as it's used in more scenarios than the original track it replaces!!
Had a ton of fun doing this arrangement. As soon as Pascal Michael Stiefel dropped Nyakuza Goons Causing Trouble, I knew it would be a PERFECT stylistic fit for the "predummy.ogg" replacement. Threw in some Mafia Town motifs for good measure, and also changed the stylization of some things to fit Mafia Boss *slightly* more. I used *some* more "game-like" soundfonts in this, but ProjectSAM Swing and Swing More are what I wound up using for a large chunk of this track's backbone, along with some Xpand!2 presets for good measure.
All in all, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, and I hope y'all enjoy! :3 --Ashley
