Bio:  23 year old Das Kapital is one of the foremost DJs and producers in South Africa. As the co-owner of Do Work Records, he is known for playing all sides of bass Music, from house, trap, D&B, Grime, to techno and beyond - anything goes as long as it brings energy to the dancefloor.

Driven by drums, he has also been at the forefront of the nu acid sound, drawing on classic hardcore, jungle and acid house influences and bringing them squarely into the now, best showcased by his own single Do Azid and his various remixes for Australia, UK, USA,and Europe.

Currently in the UK Buzz Chart with his remix of Corderoy (due 15th December), forthcoming work for Sharkslayer (Top Billin) and his rework of PH Fat - Lights Out out now make sure you don't miss his exclusive set at Sonar Cape Town.

Skinny Love by Bon Iver, and the whole For Emma Forever Ago album come to think of it, is absolutely spectacular.

Some people don't take well to it being remixed, but this particular track was one of the the most therapeutic remixes/bootlegs I've had the pleasure of making.

I decided to sit down and make some music that would reflect a bit more of a calm side to me. I was listening to the original track, threw it in my DAW and threw down some crushy destroyed drums under it to get a feel for where to start, and then it just flowed from that point on.

It's not exactly what you'd expect, which has really become what I like doing - surprises.

This was another marathon production binge, which seems to be how I work best.
