Soppe (born July 11th 1985), is a Maldivian hip hop artist and songwriter with the desire to take the rap and hip hop genre in Maldives to a whole new level.

He entered in to the Maldivian music scene as a member of the first hip hop group in Maldives “Black Prison 8” in '05. The most notable song with the group was "Mee Ey Haalath" which they performed on "Help Pakistan" show and various other live events. After seven years together, Black Prison 8 disbanded and Soppe went solo in the midst of '11.

His first performance as a solo artist was with Mishy Athif on the "Voice of Maldives Finale" show in November '11. The song “Hiy Kudhi Kudhi” went viral all over the country and created a huge audience due to its unique theme & style.

His first video song, "Kia Dheme" was premiered in ’12 on the popular day time Friday talk-show, Heyyambo.

Soppe appeared on the official Autism Day song of '13, and went on to perform his next big hit, "Elhi Mi Kandumathi" alongside Mira Mohamed Majid on Tharinge Rey '13 with a guest appearance from the Maldivian music legend Mezzo Mohamed. The song has so far surpassed all his previous achievements and has had more views on YouTube than any of his previous songs.
