Is it easier to make music with a launchpad or is it just a personal preference?

you're not alone there. I too struggle with the songs I write from a heavy heart. My new EP is just a painful reminiscence of a love just lost and what i had to do to cope. heavy hearts make good songs because of their connection to the ones who understand the pain the artist has.

when in sadness or in great depression... just write a song about your current experience or draw.... pour your negative feelings out of your system through  your hobbies or profession.... My point is... Use art AS a bucket to fill with your...emotions. like me, whenever my heart is broke as hell or just in state of negativity I play video games...(THE BRUTAL ONES) ,draw, and shout on top of my lungs in a private area. and a new one to my list... listen...to your songs.
