The What You Sample / I Eat Beats EP is Billy Kenny’s first EP on his own co-run imprint, This Ain’t Bristol. Already gaining huge support from all across the board, these two sweetened and fruit-flavoured peak time bangers are accompanied by a juicy remix by non other than Dirtybird’s Ardalan. 

What You Sample’s kit shuffles it’s way into a hypnotic masquerade of melodic 808’s, calming the listener before hitting with some serious grit! This track shows off one of the deadliest reese basses known to mankind like it’s nothing, while keeping it’s cool in-between, creating a seesaw of volume and atmosphere.
 
A concerto of violins, gangster leads and talking warps are the main ingredients that “I Eat Beats” consists of. The epic orchestral break reverbs its way into the abyss and prepares you for the drops - yes, there's a few and they switch up constantly! We think it would do exactly what it said on the tin if it wasn’t a track in your playlist. 

Ardalan’s approach to I Eat Beats introduces even more strings than the original, one hell of a thumping kick and a piercing saw bass enough to rip the kevlar from a speaker cone! Upon the second breakdown, Ardalan shows us how to make a gangster lead even more gangster with a little G-Funk spin to it.

Returning to the label with the bulbous two-track EP ‘Turn It Up’, Clarke does just that: Writhing in carnal groove simplicity, he taps into the roots of timeless, low-down, butt-wriggling house music with three obscene examples of strong-armed tech funk. ‘Can You Funk’ punches with Breach-level hookiness, and ‘Turn It Up’ does the loopy-loop with Dirtybird’s trademark vocal trippiness.

W&O Street Tracks may have hosted some big names in the three years since its inception, but the latest release from Waze & Odyssey's label is focussed on the little guys, the up-and-comers, who bring the sounds of the streets from around the globe. Thus, Data Transmission is proud to present 'Do The Way' from Iranian upstart, Ardalan.

Having already featured on Dirtybird, Ardalan has tasted success already, and judging by his psychoactive offering for the new Street Tracks Sampler, he's got a lot more to come. Joining the Iranian are Exploited recruit, Mat Pat, we_ctrl boss, Tomson, and the Netherlands' Wouter S.

The almighty Ardalan returns to DIRTYBIRD with his second solo EP for us! After having one of our biggest hits of 2015, ‘Function’ with Justin Martin, and the success of his debut ‘The Yeah/No’, we had to shine the spotlight on our rising Dirtybird Player.

He makes it easy with tracks like ‘Thunderdad’, a twisted and bouncy track with touches of acid, shuffled beats, big bass and some vocal Thunder. 

Proving he’s not a one-trick pony, “Look It” heads a different direction with heavy undertones, skating synth melodies, and a touch of drama.

To commemorate Ardalan’s ascension, he’ll be hitting the road this Spring with the lighting to his thunder, Sacha Robotti, for the “Thunder Tour” tour across North America.

The one true fisherman of house music, Dick Johnson AKA @magikJ is a testament to what house music is all about. He has been at it since majority of us even knew what a kick drum was. This isnt to say Dick is 'old' but he is a true pioneer. He has done it all. Run record labels, remixed the likes of Claude VonStroke, Crookers and Crazy P, written albums and toured the world.

Maybe its the flow of the New Zealand sea water in his veins but his debut EP on Box of Cats is groovy as hell. Get Loaded is based around a perc groove weaving in and out around vocal delays with some very necessary lasers for good measure. The flip 'Feel The Rhythm' is a tasteful fidget number with a morphing acid bass and infectious rhythm of wood blocks.

Its an understatement to say we are excited to have Magik J join our family and we know you will find a place for these.
