What better way to kick off a new year than with a new label? option4 seems to agree, launching off his new label called HotBOi Records with a brand new release from Dirtybird affiliate, Bristol native @djwillclarke. For now, HotBOi Records will host releases from an exclusive grouping of strong talents: Will Clarke, Huxley, ZDS and label boss, option4. Will Clarke has inaugurated the imprint with a bumping new release called 'On The Train', a powerful showing of that sharp dance floor wit Clarke has become an absolute master of. 'On The Train' is out on HotBOi on January 12.

About the EP :
Keeping up a busy rate of release in their 18th year of operation, Moon Harbour welcome back regular artist Re.You and debutant Floyd Lavine for two collaborative tracks. Add in remixes from Daniel Stefanik and LAWLER, and you have another essential outing. 

Re.You is Marius Maier, who has contributed solo EPs and tracks to the Orbiter compilation dating back to 2014. He is now also in charge of his own Younion label and continues to be innovative with his edgy house and tech productions. Here he links with South African Floyd Lavine, a Rise Music associate who brings plenty of authentic tribal influences to his music, and often favours a chunky take on techno. 

The brilliantly bristling 'Humanity' opens things with a flurry of hand drums and rattling snares. They are a call to action that get your attention, then the rubbery drums really hook you in. Spine tingling percussion hangs in the air and gnarly bass fleshes out this loose, intoxicating track.

The remix of this one comes from VIVa label boss and long time tech house titan Steve Lawler, under his new shortened alias, LAWLER. He skillfully reworks the track into lots of bubbling loops, underpinned by bouncy drums and a distant drone that draws you in. It's a perfectly high energy cut for the peak of the night. 

The other original is 'Seamless', an intoxicating brew of moody bass, prickly drums and vocal riffs that cast a real spell. Synth drones and Afro chants join the mix to add to the intensity and the effect is to transport you deep into an involving dance. 

Tackling this one is Daniel Stefanik, a label stalwart and master of intricate productions. He reimagines it as a house track that grows in stature, with wordless vocals and sweeping filters lifting you up off your feet. Growing ever more wild, the track twists and turns with classic claps and clever effects that will always ensure it stands out. 

These are four hugely original tracks that offer something very different from the norm.

Bringing his trademark clean-cut and creative sound that can be felt from wall to wall in the all-new ‘About That EP’. Title track ‘About That’ is an overtly twisted roller with futuristic and melodic parts, built around clean metallic textures, watertight drums and rather naughty bassline.

On the flip ‘On The Job’ is a percussion heavy, detailed piece that’s in equal part fresh and covert. Driven by a simple, nearly archetypal synth sequence and surgically sliced drums that are punctuated by pitched vocals and off kilter synth stabs.

Bot and i come from completely different sides of the planet... himself, Italy and myself Australia. Funnily enough we were both born into the 4 elements of Hip Hop and then moving into the world of Techno. I think thats why Bot and I connected as people so well. Both also being very big fans of Switch means lots of our sound design crosses paths and makes it really easy to work together in the studio.

Get Moody is dark, its techno and its also got traces of fidget, making it a track that really represents our past/present/future

Lee Foss teams up with label regular Eli Brown and multifaceted artist Anabel Englund for a star- studded release on his Repopulate Mars label featuring a remix from MK.
Having just celebrated 50 releases, Repopulate Mars was launched by Lee Foss in 2016 and has quickly risen to become one of house music’s most relevant labels. Following releases by Michael Bibi, Martin Ikin, Prok I Fitch, Mason Maynard and Shiba San, the influential imprint continues its unfaltering momentum with an outing from its founder who pairs up with Relief, Sola and Truesoul producer Eli Brown. Joining them is Anabel Englund, whose longstanding relationship with Foss harks back to early collaborations on Hot Creations, not to mention as part of Pleasure State where the pair were joined by Marc Kinchen.
With its thick descending bassline, crunchy percussion and heady groove, ‘Brazil’ combines the hallmarks of both talented producers whilst stylish vocals sung by the talented Anabel Englund generates infectious appeal. Needing little introduction as one of house music’s most prolific producers and remixers, MK delivers a driving low end rhythm underneath shuffling hi hats and delayed vox chops on his own superb rendition.
