It’s our birthday and that can only mean one thing: presents. Not got us anything? Not to worry we’ve got the prezzie situation in hand and can today offer you an exclusive free download of a fresh cut from one of our favourite producers in recent times in the fantastically named Eagles & Butterflies.

Following on from exclusively sharing his set from his performance for Bedrock’s 15th Birthday alongside John Digweed and Max Cooper for all of us not fortunate enough to make it down to Fire that night, revisiting six pivotal moments in his fledgling career and an album on the way, the talented producer has now given generously provided us with his stunning Strings & Arps remix of fellow DT favourites Booka Shade’s‘In White Rooms’  as an exclusive free download for a birthday treat to celebrate us turning 6. Speaking of the process of crafting the remix, E&B explained to us how he "re-made the whole track with string, raps and loads of organic real life sounds" which to our mind is half of what makes this incarnation so cool and shows the type of innovation and creativity that first marked him out as one to watch when we first heard his work.

With his hotly anticipated debut album set to drop next month and a new EP on his label currently getting plenty of love from taste making outlets and fellow DJs alike we're predicting a big 2014 for Eagles & Butterflies.

Dutch label PIV keeps on serving up the goods as they welcome Belfast youngster Robbie Doherty with another standout track. This one has been doing the damage for some time now on the dance floors around the world, so this is a long awaited release.

Once again here Robbie shows his love of 90's house grooves and a real grasp of depth. It's My Beat is a tight, kicking tune with rubbery bass rumbling underneath razor sharp hi hats. Well placed vocals bring a futuristic sense of soul and as the groove bumps on it's easy to see why floors have been rocking to this one.

This is another fresh sound from PIV and ever more essential artist Robbie Doherty.
