Germany's Ben Mono firmly stamps his name on the MadTech roster this month, offering up a slice of driving tech house in the form of 'Why?'

Initially coming up through Compost Records, Mono now has over a decade of production experience under his belt, including work for the likes of Permanent Vacation, Ed Banger and Exploited.

Marking a solid debut on Kerri Chandler's highly successful imprint, 'Why?' cuts a deep groove with an edge of paranoia, adding a touch of the surreal to the proceedings.

The title-track to a 3-song EP, 'Why?' drops March 16th (Digital) and 29th (General), and comes complete with a remix from Russian producer Xandl.

Black Key Records has tapped Leicester's Cecil for a 4-track EP, set to drop March 30th. 

The Artfuldivision boss, who's previously notched up releases on the likes of 124 Black, Slow Town and Moonlight, has cooked up 3 cuts of the freshest deep house going, each with a separate twist to set the dancefloor on fire. Set for vinyl and digital release, the Depths EP also features a remix from regular collaborators Matthew Burton and Kate Rathod, who are on a techno tip with A2 track 'Trip'. Pre-order here:

Cecil - Footprints

With only a few days until Rene Amesz drops his first Toolroom release of 2015, our friends over at Mark and Stuart Knight's label are giving you lucky DT readers the first chance to hear B-side 'Want It Need It'.

Taken from the Like It Deep EP, the track brings a spot of sunshine to the chilly springtime. It doesn't get much more upbeat than the lazy shuffle, soft stabs and backdropped vocals on display here; we certainly want it and we'd even go as far as to say we need it!

First falling in love with electronic music at Michel De Hey's Future nights at Nighttown Club in Rotterdam, Rene burst onto the scene in the early '00s. "When I make music I always aim for a sleazy, rhythmic and ass-shaking feel," he says via the press release, "but right now I am refreshing my sound. I think this EP sounds more slick at the moment, more stripped back. It's deeper and sexier”.

Acclaimed producers A-Trak and Dave 1 return as The Brothers Macklovitch, remixing Flight Facilities & DRAMA’s Glitterbox single ‘Dancing On My Own’. Formed from a love of crate digging and underground gems, the GRAMMY-nominated A-Trak and Chromeo’s Dave 1 have delivered their funk-laden sound inspired by their formative years across the globe at the very best clubs. The Montreal duo now step up on Glitterbox Recordings to remix an international collaboration between award-winning Australian duo Flight Facilities and Chicago duo DRAMA from 2024. The original ‘Dancing On My Own’ was heard around the world on Radio FG in France, Triple J in Australia and BBC Radio 2 in the UK.
