Boom Merchant ignites the floor with ‘Smoke’ on Tribal Pulse’s 50th release

Tribal Pulse is hitting the big five-oh, and Boom Merchant’s back to set it off in style. His latest cut ‘Smoke’ does exactly what it says on the tin: thick, rolling techno built for low ceilings, strobes, and sweat-soaked 3 a.m. sessions.

The Irish-born, Mexico-based producer has been steering Tribal Pulse since day one, and this milestone compilation Manufacturers of Modern Dancefloor Weaponry proves the label’s still pushing the underground forward. The release pulls together an international crew of groove-makers, from Obsidian Wave and Fragile X to Lefrenk and Homma Honganji, each twisting their own brand of tribal-fuelled techno heat.

Boom Merchant’s ‘Smoke’ comes loaded with warehouse grit and hypnotic drive. The percussion pounds with precision, the bassline hums with menace, and the whole thing feels like it was built to test the limits of a Funktion-One. You can practically feel the fog machine kicking in.

This is pure peak-time power from a label that’s been quietly shaping the sound of the scene for a decade. If you know, you know.

Program 3 is just another node at this label and this music culture coming out of Chicago. The EP is composed of two trax, 1 is more soulful and the other one is more of a mean synth banger. Marvy (biography) : Booty Call Records co-founder (2007), Marvy, is a high-energy party advocate,
international DJ/producer recognized for his skill when it comes to House, Electro, Techno and everything in between.
Through the years, Marvy has gotten the chance to participate in DJ projects such as Nightmare Juke Squad (as Candyman, with the Booty Call Crew), Streets of Rage (with Bootyben)...
He has signed tracks with Top Billin, Electrobounce, Nemek, One:Thirty and Bunkaball whom he is affiliated with.
Marvy built a reputation of throwing some of the most unforgettable parties with his residencies at the renoun Batofar, Nouveau Casino, Rex Club and Social Club in Paris with Booty Call­.

Thus it’s with great delight that we’re able to present you with a second offering straight from dynamic duo Paradisko, as the self confessed pizza lovers and chewing gum enthusiasts return to Data Transmission to cook up a special mix of the finest house and disco around for the latest edition of the DT podcast.

Mixed ahead of the November 9th arrival of their new single 'Fool' for Istanbul based imprint High Above The Ground, 'Fool' and its accompanying remixes from Martin Roth and Final DJs see Paradisko continue the rich vein of form that first brought them to our attention and follows on from a number impressive releases and remixes for the likes of Silhouette and French outpost On The Fruit Music.

Masterfully maintaining intensity throughout, this 60 minute workout was just what we needed to help us get over our Halloween weekend exertions although we'll admit it's already got us eagerly eyeing up Friday night!
