The best duos have often known each for long time, from Modeselektor to Daft Punk the feeling you get when meeting these acts is firmly they are one musical entity and this often springs from a long lasting friendship.

Fast forward to London 2014 and you have a pairing who certainly fulfil that first criteria in Eli & Fur with the two being firm friends since meeting in college age 16.  Now in their twenties and making serious waves in the electronic music scene ever since that eventful meeting back at college wherein the DJing side of their musical path began to take shape; formed by their passions for design and music.

Their sets are influenced by a wide range of electronic club music, from old school Chicago classics to contemporary house and tech house. Working without an agent the girls have chased all and any opportunities for DJ slots, managing to get their hands on a selection of great gigs in and around London and as far a field as Tokyo and Los Angeles. So following a series of stand out releases, including ‘Nightmares’, which was supported by the likes of Monki, Russ Chimes and Rudimental, London’s freshest sounding producer duo Eli & Fur have an exciting year ahead of them with some big releases and collaborations on the horizon.

Now to celebrate their teaming up with Becky Tong's night Juicebox for their second NYX night/launch party for their new track ‘Seeing Is Believing’ with Shadowchild on the 24th April at Notting Hill Arts Club we’ve secured their considerable talents for our mix of the day series with this exclusive mix.

We’ve been watching Valdovinos since he dropped the epic “November” on All Day I Dream back in 2018. Since then, he’s consistently delivered the kind of slow-burning gems that we are looking for when building a beautiful mood in the club. His recent organic heater, “Bacab” on Sounds Of Khemit got us excited to see if he would deliver some delicious deepness for us. And, listening to his debut single, “Hang Out”, he totally has. Featuring the wonderfully left-field vocal tones of Amparo Blanco, this one is a quirky, feel-good flumper wrapped up in a simple but effective beat. It’s surprisingly addictive!

Saturday night at the dome was something else. Syncity and Psychedelic Bush Disco colliding, old crew and new crew shoulder to shoulder - and everywhere I looked, people were dancing. On the bar, behind the bar, packed onto the floor the dome was ALIVE.
