Parisian house music has a long and illustrious past with the French capital continuing to be a hotbed of electronic music to this day. One of the new school of the French house scene who we’ve long had our eye on is a charismatic young producer who goes by the name of The Mekanism and looks set to continue adding to the rich  musical history of Paris for the foreseeable future. In a very short period of time the young French producer has created an international following after a selection of sought after remixes and a stunning debut EP on Needwant Records. 

With The Mekanism’s modern house sound moving dance floors across the globe within his busy DJing schedule touching down in just about every continent including a monthly residency at the Social Club in his home city we thought the time was right a few months back to welcome him to the DT podcast. 

We enjoyed that mix so much that when the opportunity arose to get the young producer to squeeze in another exclusive set for us despite his aforementioned schedule to celebrate his upcoming performance alongside fellow DT favorites Dyed Soundorom and South London Ordnance at the official after party to Found’s hotly anticipated Shoreditch Street party featuring legends Frankie Knuckles and Kevin Saunderson, that we just couldn’t say no. With the year ahead set to bring not only more remixes but original productions with releases on labels such as NTFO’s Sintope, Exploited and Mad Matt’s Local Talk it appears exciting times lay ahead for The Mekanism.
