London-based duo TMPLE release ‘Eyes On Me’ via Damian Lazarus’ Rebellion, with remixes from Made By  Pete and Cristina Lazic.  

Musicians, producers and childhood friends Charlie Jordan and James Fitz-Gibbon have honed their talents within  the studio over the past two years, shaping their deep and melodic sound palette as electronic duo TMPLE.  Featuring twice on Hot Since 82’s album ‘Recovery’ alongside material via Circus and Moon Harbour, the pair have  gained support from artists such as Jamie Jones, Christian Nielsen and Damian Lazarus - with the Rebellion boss  welcoming them for their label debut’ Eyes On Me’, featuring remixes from Crosstown regular Made By Pete and  fellow Rebellion talent Cristina Lazic. 

“‘Eyes On Me’ was a track made for the dancefloor. It started with the bassline and drums, but we wanted  to give the track some real personality, something that would capture the audience’s attention. That’s  when we added the synth line on the prophet. Once the vocals were in, it came together in only a few  hours. Months later, we were sent a video of Damian playing it out in Tulum b2b with Jamie Jones at Day Zero  festival. The track was always intended to be played by DJs like Damian and Jamie in these environments,  so seeing that clip and the reaction and then for Damian to reach out wanting to sign the record was a  great feeling.” - TMPLE.  

Blooming synths, organic drums and Fitz-Gibbons’ striking vocals take hold of ‘Eyes On Me’ as the pair deliver a  trip through resonant soundscapes and bright melodies to showcase a hypnotic production. Made By Pete’s remix  comes next, taking up a slightly moodier aesthetic guided by sweeping sonics, before Cristina Lazic’s take builds  on an infectious groove to inject new energy for late-night hours.

UK mainstay Denney steps up to Rekids, backed with remixes by Nic Fanciulli and Frankey & Sandrino.

Denney's name is synonymous with quality, with previous productions landing on labels such as 8bit Records, Crosstown Rebels, and Nothing Else Matters. For his latest release, Denney teams up with London-based actress and singer Charlotte Riby to craft ‘Catch The Heat’ for Radio Slave’s Rekids, backed with two killer remixes from Nic Fanciulli and Frankey & Sandrino.

Across 'Catch The Heat' Riby's vocals bring a touch of old-school class to a warm and soulful House track, steeped in New York history with fresh production flourishes that are sure to make it an anthem this summer and beyond.

On the flip is Nic Fanciulli’s remix, the Saved Records boss, who turns the original into a more techno-leaning cut with the vocals taking on a gospel quality over pulsing drums. German duo Frankey & Sandrino’s interpretation rounds out the release with a dramatic trip dripping with elegance that will have the dance floor in raptures.

Back to the fold with the first extract taken from his upcoming debut long-player on A Tribe Called Kotori, Fabian Krooss takes us to a delicate and transporting headspace with his twofold single, "Oh Darlin'". Infused with laid-back Chicagoan rhythms and feelgood Afro soulfulness, this opening brace of cuts from the German producer weaves solar-powered sensitivity with vaporous floor dynamics to hypnotic effect. An ode to impro and the free-flowing power of gut instinct, Krooss' newest offering translates thousands of places, feelings, moments and encounters into a buoyant melting-pot of debonair grooviness. "Producing has a meditative and balancing effect on me" Krooss says, and it definitely shines through in these, as we're taken on a seamless ride up serene moodscapes and ethereal club-ready apexes.  

A track that "captures my musical vision like no other" in Krooss' own admission, "Oh Darlin'" oozes a cross-pollinating elixir of hi-NRG house and folk-informed downtempo, gracefully threading its way in limbo between proper DJ-friendly functionality and loungey hedonism. Composed earlier this year and refined over the summer, "Oh Darlin'" stacks positive energies and beams them across the room like a vital call to channel the good vibes and move in the direction of love and unity. The second track, "Staring", recorded in collaboration with Samaha during his stay in Seattle in March 2023, engineers a nice mix of both artists' distinct melodic universes, while encapsulating memories from Krooss' journey in North America. A further balmy slice of atmospheric electronica tinged with hints of dream-pop and balearic house, "Staring" cruises at its own tranquil pace across colour-shifting horizons and gently jagged reliefs, ready to soak up full sound systems with its soothing, poetic funk.
