The prominent Swedish duo of Elfenberg(@elfenberg) returns to the label after featuring with the wicked “Kebabsyra”on Rotten Citizens (@rotten-city-records) Compilation Vol.4. They've recently released music on labels such as Les Yeux Orange, Feines Tier and Hard Fist. The return to Rotten City will see the light of the long awaited “Elfenboogie EP”, containing three powerful peak time tracks with all the flavors they like: Acid, Disco and Tribal vibes.
“Vasta La Hista” is a clear example of a club bomb. Direct, raw, and psychedelic. 100% effective but non generic!

“Acid Cocoon’” dig into the darker vibes with a spooky and sexy female voice in a “Post-Electroclash” exercise.
With “Elfenboogie” they show us again their favorite elements; Percussion, drive, a soulful vocal and some random weirdness to top it off. "Let's do the Elfenboogie", "Come n Elfenboogie with us”, they always joked around with the term, that now is the title track on this very EP.

The release is complemented with a remix from Julian Sanza & Alvaro Cabana Remix. Both DJs residents at Kaputt Club (Bogotá) joining forces again to turn the Classic Disco vibe of “Elfenboogie” into a trippy and cosmic interpretation.

This three-track package on DFTD celebrates the 10-year anniversary of 'Suddenly Funk' by Brazilian techno producer Renato Cohen; an addictive, squelching record full of character that incorporates elements of techno, acid and, of course, funk. Now a fresh remix from Ibiza knockout Andrea Oliva updates the classic for 2023 audiences; a rapid, persistent bass drills underneath the busy, acidic textures to create a club-ready cut bursting with energy. Accompanying the release is a remix from one of Amsterdam's finest techno producers, 2000 And One's Lo-Motion Funk Mix evens out the tempo, allowing the funk elements to come to the fore.

Following the release of his album ‘Fauna & Flora’ Trikk invites three remixes by the likes of Or:la, Roman Flügel and the London-based Working Men’s Club. The mixes explore the hidden depths of the originals and transport them in a club night-ready context without losing the mystic and edginess of Trikk’s striking debut. While Or:la worked out the instrumental essence of Pandemonio into a genre-spanning dance floor tool, Roman Flügel and Working Men’s Club did a dive into the explosive baile funk burner „Mata Mata featuring Gabriel Massan" to create versions, that reflect the distinctive sound of each artists' style. Radio Slave pays homage to Funboy Three with ‘The Lunatics (A Tribute to Terry Hall)’. 

Fun Boy Three’s groundbreaking 1981 anthem ‘The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum’ reflected a socio-political uncertainty and fear of the time, mirroring today’s calamitous society.

Radio Slave’s tribute to the late vocalist of The Specials and Fun Boy Three, Terry Hall, ‘The Lunatics (A Tribute To Terry Hall)’ centres itself on the unmistakable haunting vocal chant of its source material. Welded to the sort of unbreakable groove that Radio Slave has spent two decades refining, the vocal swells, repeating chorus, and jolting alarm sounds make for yet another anthem from one of dance music’s most bankable names.
