‘Bang The Box (Slam remix)’ retains the all-conquering vocal of the original, but plunges the track down into propulsive depths with more aggressive percussion and atmospheric synth stabs. 

Richie Hawtin provided the following comment on the remix: “Released in the early 90s, the original Jack Master EP was a pseudo-name that I used to record fun classic Chicago inspired tracks that were made for my DJ sets.  Slam’s new updated take on the original, uses the original voice sample (that’s actually mine) and reworks the track into a full throttle stomping jack track perfect for todays dance floors!”

Since Dorsia's debut in 2014 with the Ghana EP on LOFT Records, the duo soon picked up big hitting DJ support from the likes of Bicep and Tensnake. They have since played a string of Friday Fabric Room 1 gigs and have released records on iconic UK label, Southern Fried. The pair are now busy in the studio with remix work and are also prepping their next 2 track EP on North Western imprint, Sprechen Music, which is due to drop late Summer.

To keep the ball rolling for 2016 the duo have decided to giveaway a track thats been a staple in their sets this year. Its a moody techno take on a classic pop track that is packed full of atmosphere and tension. Complex layers and a wide collage of sound come together to create a track that you will surely be hearing across clubs and festivals this Summer.
