George Morel broke new ground with his iconic track ‚Let’s Groove’ – defining a genre and a moment with his sound – a feat achieved by only a precious few. 
That was in 1992 – when techno & house was the new kid on the block. Now, 21 (!) years later we revisit this colossal track and fit it with some remixes, including one from the man himself.   Tom Trago, Claptone, Coyu and DJ T. and PBR Streetgang all take on the dinosaur and give it a new breath of life in 2013. 
The results are amazing, and even more so when we reflect on all that came between. An entire lifetime of music and celebration lead up to this point, and will continue long after – after all, it is the spirit of the music which never really dies.

If you’ve at all sniffed around the Beatport charts at some stage in the last 12 months, then it’s highly likely that you’ll have been hugely impressed by a Berlin-based duo that go under the name ‘Mat.Joe’. With a string of releases and remixes in the last year on Snatch! Mother Recordings, Defected, Strictly Rhythm and of course Toolroom Trax, it’s an outright pleasure to have them return for their debut single release on the governing Toolroom Records this spring.

‘Nighthawk’ is an all-consuming tech house affair packed with deep grooves, guitar and synth licks and a dimly lit vocal performance, creating a delicately atmospheric personality within the track. These days, the word ‘house’ is more often than not accompanied by a qualifier: is it ‘tech’, ‘deep’, ‘future’ or one of another dozen or so sub-genres that seek to further categorize a style of music that frankly could do without it. Step forward Mark Knight to deliver ‘Yebisah’: a record that is HOUSE, pure and simple, perfectly timed to put a smile on the faces of thousands of clubbers all around the world, not least of all in Ibiza.

"Back in the day, Ibiza was about house, not tech House, techno, minimal or bass music” says Mark. “That’s why people used to congregate there. I just wanted to write a solid, uplifting house record that DJs could play peak time or at the end of their set. Ibiza has been instrumental in my DJing career and as an artist and this record is an ode to the most magical island on the planet. It’s a house cut that I hope a lot of DJs will love and recognise why it’s perfect to be played on the island."
