When you're talking about techno, few names have been innovating and evolving as much as Robert Hood. When he's not running things over at M-Plant, he can be found touring the festival circuit with his live show and releasing tonnes of fresh new material.

Today we concentrate on his more melodic alias and under the name Floorplan, Hood has released a stunning album showcasing a slightly different yet equally strong sound.

A new EP is set to drop featuring two re-edits of tracks that appeared on his Floorplan album 'Paradise'. 'Phobia' and 'Never Grow Old' have been given a special Re-Plant and we have the premiere of the latter.

Rachel Lyn has been getting more and more deserved recognition for her work, with the likes of Richie Hawtin spinning her track ‘Flower Parts’. She has recently collaborated with Pig & Dan, and had her track ‘Citrine’ remixed by Kris Wadsworth, which has received some heavy support from Radio 1. A close associate of labels like Terminal M and House Republic and with a recent feature in DJ Mag, she is certainly one to watch and we cannot wait to have her down.

She joins on-the-rise promoters We Concur on a huge New Year's Day event at London's Oval Space. Topping the bill is Data Transmission favourite of 2014 Nina Kraviz, who, along with Southampton's Alan Fitzpatrick and special guest, will get the New Year rocking.

Christian Nielsen has never been one for musical pigeonholes, but with his new 'Pull Up' EP on Pets Recordings, the Danish producer takes that ethos to its logical extreme. Two tracks. Two distinct moods. One cohesive, club-ready package.

Made not in some plush Berlin bunker but in the most democratic of studios - his kitchen, after the kids were asleep - the limited time and space, allowed Christian to focus on what really matters - the groove, the vibe, and making every sound count.

The title track, 'Pull Up', is pure peak-time propulsion: raw, rhythmic rap vocals locked tight to a driving, big room chassis, built for the kind of dancefloor moments when the energy shifts from simmer to boil. Flip it to 'Infinity', and the mood changes to melodic,   yet propulsive textures with a more a spacious arrangement that's designed for losing yourself.

'I wanted to create something that feels both nostalgic and fresh,' Nielsen says. 'The idea was to capture that spontaneous energy you get when unexpected elements collide in the right way.'
