Further solo releases on Solid Grooves and his own imprint LATEMORNING cemented Blackchild’s status as one of the scene’s freshest names, now landing on Defected with ‘Nothing Better Than Music’. By splicing together several infectious vocal samples, underpinned by funk-laden patterns and synth mastery, Blackchild has created an instantly addictive house record that sounds timeless yet feels vastly modern.
