<p>Its been a hectic summer as always for MOOD boss Nicole Moudaber. Her relentless touring schedule has seen her ruling the dancefloors of every continent. On the release front she&#8217;s fresh from unveiling her astonishing rework of Carl Cox&#8217;s Kommen Zusammen, which has proved to be a festival favourite throughout the summer season. For her new release she returns home, for the first time since April&#8217;s See You Next Tuesday ep, with the devilishly groovy The Whippin&#8217; I&#8217;m Dishin&#8217;. </p>

<p>Nicole&#8217;s original sees her take a step back from the full throttle techno-tilt, creating a relaxed-yet-locked groove that swings throughout whilst kicking up a gear in its final third. Ramping things up in style is Gary Beck, who pairs the the primitive rolls of the bongo&#8217;s against a relentless and industrial soundtrack before tech-maestro Robert Dietz takes over to inject a little more bass-weight groove, expanding the kick drum and dancing on the Hi-Hats.</p>

Dompe - Fantastic Two (Maex Remix)

Party music: Musashi’s rich and warm vocal cuts through the Moog inspired riff that starts out smooth then gets quirky in moments... Minimal New Jersey’esque drums n’ sub drive the groove. The fun that was had producing this song is palatable n’ makes for an easy one to get into.

Italy’s fastest rising name in house and techno returns to the respected Drumcode imprint with this blistering new 4-track EP, ‘Climax’. Featuring a distinctive vocal sample crescending over a typically thumping bassline, opening lead track ‘Climax’ grows gradually with the introduction of a single synth note and skipping hi-hats. Two beatless breakdowns increase the pressure whilst a new synth melody is introduced in the second, making for a powerful ending as all the elements join together.

‘Boost’ starts out deep and dark, with a high-pitched call echoing over a determined beat. The track changes course mid-way through with the introduction of a bassy, low-pitched synth melody, helping ‘Boost’ evolve into a catchier, more playful track.

‘Spectre’, a no-nonsense closing piece featuring a jittering synth note, rattling hi-hats and a trademark tension-filled breakdown.

‘Over The Clouds’, as its name would suggest, is the gentlest of the four tracks. Filled with dusty textures over a rumbling bassline, twinkling synths move in waves before lower-pitched chords join, adding a real sense of depth to this production.

Overall, ‘Climax’ is an outstanding example of Faraone’s ear for detail as a producer: his experience as both a resident and touring DJ clearly feeds into his skill for manipulating tension in his productions like he does on the dancefloors. Having recently warmed up for Adam Beyer at Tenax, Marco Faraone’s relationship with the iconic label continues to grow.

It’s not everyday we give you a double whammy of fresh content from one particular artist but then again, it’s not everyday that we stumble across someone as talented as multifaceted German producer PEREL.

Having risen through the ranks of Berlin’s uber competitive club scene – she can regularly at cool haunts such as Farbfernseher – the triple threat DJ, producer and vocalist has previously impressed with both her original works and remixes on O*RS before now but with her latest effort, Charles Manson, looks set to leap into the limelight.

Set to arrive on Darius Syrossian’s burgeoning Do Not Sleep imprint, the interestingly and perhaps somewhat controversially titled lead track comes backed by a standout remix from the label boss himself with everyone here at DT sure that we’ll be hearing plenty of both incarnations in the coming months.

Next up on the gold standard tech house imprint that is Roush, comes label boss himself, Hector Couto. On the Parental Advisory EP, the influential Spaniard has readied four cuts of to-the-point club music that cannot fail to make its mark.
Hector is one of the most respected artists around with a truly global allure for his brand of house music. He has released on labels such as Defected, Moon Harbour, Hot Creations and Get Physical and is no stranger to the finest DJ booths in the world, from Ministry of Sound to Amnesia Ibiza. As such any new music from him warrants deserved excitement.
Proving that once more is excellent opener ‘Like This,’ a wobbly tech house tune that is full of electronic funk. It has great vocals, swollen bass and siren like synths that really get under your skin and demand you dance. Title track ‘Parental Advisory’ is a real party starter with wild vocals and jittery drums. Off kilter synth stabs and fat bass all make it a hugely fun and characterful tune that is sure to stand out in any set.
Moving on to the essential ‘Old Roots’, this one comes laden with retro breakbeats and a dusty sense of groove. Air horns and crisp hi hats all get stitched into the loopy groove and pull you deeper and deeper in with each rotation. Lastly, ‘Bubble Gum’ comes with a snaking bassline that is tough and rugged. Classic 909 pops and clicks pepper the groove, as do plenty of sweet vocal samples and the result is one hell of a tech tune that sounds like little else.
This is another masterclass in effective, emotive dance music and it marks another fine release for both label and artist.
