Leading the release, title track ‘Alley Rave’ brings together pumping basslines, rolling percussion, and energetic vocal samples for a hair-raising start to the EP. ‘Out and About’ follows, with loose and swinging drums meeting rumbling low end and analogue synths. ‘Locomotive’ brings tense build-ups and earth-shattering drops along with an earworm lead, closing out the EP in a memorable fashion.

Next up on Toolroom Trax, it's a double-barrelled label debut from Kittball co-owner Juliet Sikora & Elrow resident Tini Gessler who team up on their Trax debut with 'Tidy Up'! Set to clean up the dance floor, Juliet & Tini go hard with their club ready cut of Minimal Tech House.

Both label boss of Kittball with Tube & Berger and a solid DJ herself, Juliet has made waves in scene with a string of killer releases and successes with her label. As one of the top 15 selling Deep House labels of all time on Beatport, her influence on 'Tidy Up' can be heard from the get-go. Along with releases on Pete Tong's FFRR, Flashmob Records & of course Kittball, Juliet Sikora's production style and work ethic are second to none. 

Tini Gessler on the other hand, is a fast-rising name in the Deep & Tech House world, having cemented herself as a resident DJ for Elrow and known for throwing huge parties, together the pair bring a deeper, more minimal edge to the record. 

There's no doubt that 'Tidy Up is a groove focused, Tech House track that is meant to be hammered through club sound systems hard and with their feet firmly planted in the world of Tech House, it's clear that Juliet Sikora & Tini Gesseler are onto something huge on this one!

London based House duo Saison make their welcome return to Toolroom's Trax imprint this August with their brand-new single, 'Drop It'. Having spent the best part of a decade honing their trademark sound, this dynamic duo have seen a string of successful releases on an impressive line-up of labels including Future Disco, Defected, Guesthouse, Large, Nervous, Big Love, alongside their own signature imprint, No Fuss Records. With a unique sound that incorporates influences from their disparate backgrounds, Saison's music is raw, heady and illustrative of House music at its very best. 'Drop It' is their exciting new follow up to their debut on the label back in May and oozes sophistication which reflects their moniker sound and groove. Catz ‘n Dogz make a standout debut on Crosstown Rebels with two compelling new house tracks on ‘Can’t Stand’, complete with a remix from leftfield innovator Robag Wruhme.

A pairing whose renowned reputation has been built and shaped across an illustrious career, Polish duo Grzegorz Demiañczuk and Wojciech Tarañczuk, aka Catz’ n Dogz, have been serving up their own diverse and varied take on house for more than fifteen years. Founders of their own Pets Recordings imprint, in that time they have released on esteemed labels, from Diynamic to Defected, Glitterbox to Watergate and more, while playing at almost every major club and festival across the globe. Their fresh in-between sounds and knack for cooking up curious and impactful sounds have made them mainstays of the scene, and that run of stellar releases continues here with a debut appearance on Crosstown Rebels as they link with ZenSoFly for ‘Can’t Stand’ - with longstanding German favourite Robag Wruhme on remix duties.

Opener ‘Can’t Stand’ sees the pair reunite with vocalist ZenSoFly, a talent they’ve worked with on notable hits like ‘Wave.’ Her vocals bring soul and attitude over a tight, rubbery and sleazy house beat, underpinned with a heavy bassline - providing the sort of chunky cut to lock in a dancefloor and make it march in unison.
Robag Wruhme has been a Pampa label mainstay and famously curveball producer for many years with his scintillating blend of minimalism, melody and unusual sound sources. That is the case again with this remix, a dark workout that hurries along on snappy drums, detuned vocals and scuzzed up, droning synths to ensure maximum impact.

The EP is closed out with ‘Wake Up’, a widescreen and atmospheric cut packed with detail. The bassline is taught, freaky vocals echo within the mix, and synths spray about to dramatic effect, delivering another full flavour house cut with a dark soul and futuristic designs.
