We love new at Data Transmission. We love fresh. We love exciting. So when somebody ticks all three of those boxes we don’t waste any further time in making sure we nab them for content before the rest of the world comes knocking and that’s why we’re launching a new mix series with the sole aim of uncovering tomorrow’s biggest stars today.

The first artist to step into the DT spotlight is Berlin based Californian Jamaica Suk who we think you’ll agree has kicked of the new series in quite some style. Already respected among her peers in the industry as a talented solo producer with releases of a number of cool underground labels and a release coming out on Tim Xavier's newest imprint Face To Face Recordings imminently we thought it was about time you got to know her too.With roots in Jazz and rock she quickly won us over as fans with her unique brand of impressionistic techno that pushes boundaries whilst showing respect for the ideals of the genres founding fathers. Spotlight Mix: Jamaica Suk

We’ve long wondered if there’s something in Swedish water that breeds musical inspiration. What makes Sweden such a hotbed of creativity we’re not quite sure but what we do know is that we’re big fans of a lot of artists and labels from the Scand country. The latest artist from the region to catch our eye has been Red Royalty who despite only just embarking on his musical journey looks to have the brightest of possible futures.

With a host of upcoming material that will take shape in wax Spring 2015 we thought now was the time to showcase the talents of the emerging Stockholm based producer via our Spotlight Mix series which aims aim to uncover the stars of tomorrow today.

So with the rest of the world due to come knocking next year, may we introduce you to the sounds of Red Royalty with this exclusive mix which was recorded “live in a club under a bridge”  and features a couple of unreleased cuts from the producer himself.

Spotlight Mix: Red Royalty

We don’t know what they are putting in the water Down Under at the moment but we’d like to know where we can get some as Australia seems to be exporting more and more high quality music from across the electronic spectrum. The latest act from the southern hemisphere to attract our attention have been Aussie duo Human Movement.

We’ll be the first to admit we don’t know a great deal about the media shy pairing outside of the fact that they came together over a mutual love of Dirtybird Records and Oliver Huntemann and that their goal is to “create a unique sound unbound by genre”. What we do know is the music they’re making is seriously cool and that the boys are set for a big 2015. So with the rest of the world due to come knocking next year, may we introduce you to the sounds of Human Movement via this exclusive mix.

Fancy another helping of house before the holidays? Then look no further as we’ve got just what you need with an exclusive mix from fast rising Londoner Pierre Codarin who delivers the latest edition of our spotlight series.

Having been bubbling away on the underground circuit for the past few years releasing material via the likes of Resonance Records, Sincopat and Huxley & Jimmy Posters Saints & Sonnets imprint Pierre is an artist we’ve had our eye on for a while and we think it’s time you got to know him too. 

With his ‘First Date’ EP scheduled to arrive on Saints & Sonnets December 22 now is the time to get yourself acquainted with Mr. Codarin. A big 2015 beckons.

We’re not sure what it is about the new year that puts us in such an introspective mood but with previous spotlight mixes seeing us travel as far afield as Australia, Berlin via San Francisco and Stockholm we thought we should return to home turf for our opening mix of the series for 2015 with an effort from fast rising Londoner James Sison.

Co-owner and founder of Bade Records we’ve had an eye on James for a while now and thought it was about time you got to know him too. A regular fixture at the events of the similarly criminally underrated Tessellate, James has cultivated a deep, melodic style both in his DJ sets and work in the studio with his inbound ‘Napier Lake’ EP serving as a shining example of why we think he’s destined for big things. It’s amazing how musical creativity often finds its most fertile breeding grounds in times and places of hardship and adversity. Destruction inevitably leads to creation and the human spirit is often most inspired during the rebuilding process. Look at Berlin for example, the reunification of the city which had suffered for so long quickly led to its establishment as one of the most cosmopolitan and interesting places in the world. Could we see a similar movement emerge in Ukraine's capital Kiev?

Recently a source of international tension, Kiev appears to be finally making steps towards recovery and as it looks to the future one of the things which will no doubt be vital to its progress will be its vibrant music scene. At the vanguard of this is DJ and producer Cepasa who has already forged a fierce reputation within the electronic music community, releasing on some of the scenes most respected underground labels.

Having just dropped a new sample pack fusing Ambient, Hip Hop, House, Future Bass and R&B into one vision for Prime Loops and with big plans for the year ahead we thought the time was right to welcome Future Koncept’s latest prodigy to deliver the latest instalment of our Spotlight Series. Среди приложивших руку к 'томатным' трекам значатся Tigerskin, Steve Jones, The Maneken, Playone, Key900 а также сами Tomato Jaws, представившие новые версии своих треков. Поклонникам группы особенно понравится акустическая версия композиции 'Why Don't You', оригинал которой уже несколько месяцев заполняет радиопространство страны. Ориентированный в первую очередь на танцпол, 'Reconstructed' представит тек-хаус версию звучания ставших уже привычными треков киевской команды. К тому же, новый релиз - это не просто альбом ремиксов, но и полноценный dj-микс, над компиляцией и сведением которого поработал участник команды Павел Ленченко. Также на диске, который выпустит в сентябре Moon Records, можно будет увидеть режиссерскую версию клипа "Feel Me".

Release named Reconstructed includes remixes produced throughout the whole period of the Kiev band work. These are the artists, who participated in production of "tomato" tracks: Tigerskin, Steve Jones, The Maneken, Playone, Key900 and of course Tomato Jaws themselves, who represented new edits of their own tracks. Fans might be especially delighted with an acoustic version of 'Why Don't You'. The original one has already filled up ukrainian radio space. Reconstructed, mainly fitted to dance floors, would represent familiar tracks in a new tech house edition. Besides, new release is not just a remixed album but a full value dj mix compiled and mastered by tomato jaws' member Paul Lenchenko. Also CD released in september by Moon rec includes editor's cut of video Feel Me. Preview of our new album is available in 'audio' section of tomatojaws.com.
