Spotlight Mix: Carly Carmen

I warmed up the terrace before Janeret b2b Cristi Cons, Sidney Charles and East End Dubs. 

Expect a low bpm with minimal vibes with a nice blend of Romanian and British sounds. :)

Basements, rooftops, and the odd sunrise terrace – that’s where the Farzala Magnifique Spotlight Mix belongs. London’s groove queen is back on home turf with a set that oozes underground class and club-ready bite.

Farzala has been on a steady rise, taking her Sakti Records from passion project to a label heads actually talk about in smoking areas. Her new single ‘Magnifique’ is the latest proof, a deep, rolling slow-burner that locks you in and doesn’t let go. Think brooding pads, moody textures, and basslines built for those heads-down, eyes-closed moments.

This week she’s bringing all that heat to the Spotlight Mix, weaving stripped-back rollers with a few cheeky curveballs. From Tiga’s Loco Dice dub to Traumer & Anton’s deep hypnosis, she’s serving proper after-hours fuel. And yes, she’s dropped her own cuts in there – ‘Vamos’ and the monster closer ‘Magnifique’ – just to remind you whose ride this is.

Born in Livorno, Italy, in 1986, Matteo Dentone was raised in a family of musicians - both his father and brother are bass players - which nurtured his deep and natural passion for music from an early age. Driven by a constant hunger for inspiration and evolution, Matteo moved to Ibiza, a pivotal step that made the island not only his home, but the soul of his sound. Over the years, he has played in some of the most prestigious venues on the island and the world, including Hï Ibiza, Pacha Ibiza, Club Chinois, Cova Santa, and many more.

Matteo is a resident DJ on Ibiza’s FM radio, broadcasting his sound daily across the island - a distinct blend that ranges from house to tech house, minimal and deep tech, always infused with groove and sophistication.

Cadenza Radio 003 - Matteo Dentone

Cesar Merveille first emerged in 2003 with a release on Circus Company, beginning a prolific career that would see him become a key figure on esteemed labels like Cadenza and Visionquest. His partnership with Cadenza was particularly pivotal, propelling him onto the global stage and allowing his music to command dancefloors worldwide. This success also led to collaborations with Ryan Crosson, resulting in two full-length albums for Visionquest that explored textures beyond the club.

Now based in Berlin, Cesar has fully embraced a hands-on, hardware-based production approach. This creative energy inspired his label, Roche Madame, a tribute to his roots that fosters collaboration. He also co-founded the band Midiminuit, where he merges modular synthesis with jazz and classical instrumentation to craft a unique, boundary-pushing sound.
