When it comes to making house music for the floor, Belgian label Electronical Reeds can always be relied on to bring the heat in their own inimitable way. And it’s inimitable really, because you never know what sort of pack they’ll be punching with their releases. Diversity, then, is the key word, but thankfully it’s rarely there instead of ‘quality’, and it’s a thread that again abounds on their latest work, as emerging producer The Checkup introduces us to his sounds courtesy of ‘The Factor’, a prime tech-house workout that’s sure to warm hearts and minds this winter time.

Tough in parts but dexterous and filled with flair in others, its standout moment comes from its strange, muffled vocals that really, shouldn’t work. That they do is testament to the work of the producer at hand. Check it out for yourself.

The first in the series, crafted by Kry Wolf, is a journey through the musical flavours and vibes that inspire Lewis and Bill to do what they do. Presented both in a DJ mix and as individual tracks, we’re proud to present an album full of exclusive material put together the best way we know how, featuring New York Transit Authority, Shadow Child with Friend Within and Doorly, Bodhi, Aaron Snapes, Waifs and Strays and brand new material from Kry Wolf themselves, including ‘No Trouble’, and the now official update of Rave Classic ‘Sweet Harmony’, with full blessing from Liquid and XL Recordings.

The new up-and-comers on this album also offer us a fresh perspective on the future of House, amongst others Pluto, Vyhce, Tones, and in particular the long-awaited ‘Dysturbed Trumpet’ from Geoff K, provide a bright look into 2015 and beyond with the rest of the talent featured on Kry Wolf’s ‘DNA’.
