https://www.facebook.com/anjaschneider When your debut set on Pete Tong's Essential Mix starts with a Masters At Work remix of Saint Etienne and ends with Kraftwerk epochal "Computer World," the tunes in the middle better hold their own. That was the challenge Mobilee head Anja Schneider set for herself on her recent addition to the legendary BBC radio program, and she delivered with the help of a debut from Maya Jane Coles, a classics from Underground Resistance, and an airing of her own latest, "Jimmy," which, with it's propelling conga loop and haunting organ climax, made for one of the most memorable moments of the two hour session. This achievement will be no surprise to anyone familiar with Schneider's history as a producer, club DJ and respected radio host, with her own Dance Under The Blue Moon program filling the Berlin airwaves since almost 15 years. And while she has been teasing us with "Jimmy" since July (when it surfaced on her mix for John Digweed's Transitions podcast), the time as finally come for it appear in it's complete form, released on vinyl and digital as Mobilee141. On the b-side is "Lovetube Thinking," a previously unaired acid house cut that offers its own spine-tingling peak thanks to the vocals of Patrick Heym, the latest singer in a long line of collaborators Anja has called upon to give her music that extra dance floor magic. It makes for a magnificent one-two punch of a release that DJs can now use in their own essential sessions.

Third Son’s Form/Void EP materializes itself in the form of four original tracks with Teenage Mutants on remix duties.

The title track makes for a swift introduction into the EP’s overall mood, setting an enthusiastic and uplifting tone by way of aphasic percussion patterns and beaming synths. Instead of conglomerating elements at peak point, the British producer builds up anticipation by temporarily suspending them, intensifying the post breakdown release. Prospara is a dub-centered track with tribalesque hitting drums and patterns interspersed with hi hats and glitches. The multitude of layers increases exponentially throughout the track, while their versatility crafts a profound sense of space.Emerging from a solid and grave bassline speckled with high pitched synth cuts, Alaska frames a colder and darker atmosphere. The artist masterfully uses synth chords to assemble a recurring ascending groove that ultimately leads to a soft release.

Teenage Mutants puts on his remix hat and spins Alaska’s cold gloom into a spiralling and enthralling sonic trip with great club appeal. The final offering of Third Son’s sonic compound - Kepler Reprise - is the only track where the human element is made present, through the ghostly vocal sample. The track flows naturally as a wavy sound exploration that is at the same time down to earth and otherworldly, thanks to escalating and zippy synths.

At the start of the summer, Leeds based electronica outfit Vessels unveiled ‘Are You Trending?’, a track which showed the band at their most forceful yet. The original has been receiving an enormous response at the band’s summer festivals including Melt and Glastonbury, whilst at the same time picking up big BBC 6 Music support. Even though Jon Hopkins has been smashing the original in his sets all summer, the track still felt perfectly suited to some big dancefloor focussed reworks, and these are already picking up support from the likes of Sasha, Jamie Jones, Isaac Tichauer, Pete Tong, DJ Zinc, Nick Warren and more.

Our Debut Transmisson today is the Darkline mix - first unveiled by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 – is more of a tension-building journey which ultimately delivers with an almighty drop, check it out below.

Behind this moniker hides two well known producers, Frank Beckers from D-nox & Beckers and Sandrino Tittel from Lemonpopsicle and White Rabbit fame. Coming together in the studio was no coincidence as the guys have known each other since years in the Ruhrpott area in the heard of industrial Germany.

We Are All Dust is surely their finest moment so far - starting deep and teasing this is one of those tunes which gives you shivers even if you spent the last 30 years on the North Pole or some far located desert. Big smiles on the floor are granted as the emotional theme drops and the track builds and builds.

For remixers our good friends Marcus Worgull from Innervisions and Raxon from Audiotonic delivers their own vision of We Are All Dust.

Marcus re-edits the original parts into a even more teasing version, keeping much of the original flow but dropping midway to a great break where hands are surely to go up.

Dubais brightest, Mr Raxon from Audiotonic and 360 fame takes another route, dropping a massive baseline and dubbing out the parts to one his trademark floor burners.a

To end the EP in fine mode, Frankey & Sandrino offer you Echoes, a perfect slice of piano driven, percussive dub house disco which perfectly shows the craftsmanship these gentleman offer.

Frankey & Sandrino - We are all Dust

Dominik Eulberg, of Traumschallplatten, Cocoon and Kompakt notoriety, presents the next installment of the Hertzblut Recordings EP series in the form of ‘Backslash’. The two track release instantly conveys Eulberg’s unique living organism aesthetic, a more than welcome offering for fans who have felt his amount of original output slow down over recent years.

‘Backslash’ opens with ‘Opel Tantra’, a delectable example of a living, breathing techno orchestra in full effect. Here, a classic kick drum meets rejoicing, iridescent strings that sing and swell in the fore until a funky bass riff takes the entire score straight into dance floor territory. B-side ‘Noch Ein Bass im Ärmel’ sees plucked strings and key stabs pick out an alluring groove, as distant chimes twinkle evoking the enchanted forest ever-present in Eulberg’s thoughts. Just as you’re on the cusp of entering a dream like state, Eulberg reminds us all of his four-to-the-floor techno credentials, dropping a dark and rumbling bass line and driving percussions into the mix.
