back in March I played my first live event in 8 years and my first local event in 16 years.   as I discussed in RA a few years ago, my hometown is not the place where I have ever felt real representation.  being able to meet a community of younger folks who showed up for this was really emotionally gratifying for me and I had a lot of fun playing some of my fav records for them.  and I had the blessing of working with a close and dear friend to put it all together.  it was harmonious flow despite being a very rushed production.

this is about half of what I played because it was a nearly five hour set.  music selected was intentionally evocative of my residency here of the mid 2000s.  and I had to throw together this selection in about 2 days because this was a very last minute party.
