October 2021 edition featuring steloo (Hildesheim, Germany)



With a passion for electronic music since his teenage years, steloo‘s landing behind the decks at some point was inevitable and his journey started on a grey and rainy Sunday morning at Kater Blau, Berlin, in November 2018. He and his buddy Bjoern had a serious brainstorming session and decided to start mixing and play a surprise act at a friend’s birthday party. This idea was one of the best ones they ever had. With support from their best Katja Komorebi, they would fulfil this task with much enthusiasm and excitement. Their friends had no idea what they were up to and the surprise was a success. That moment was the ignition of a lifetime project dedicated to house and techno music which sees the two perform as federkern.

Shortly after this experience, steloo also focused on his solo project, spending every free minute digging, listening, mixing and searching for his personal vibe. His preferable genres at this moment would be minimal, techno and deep tech, but everything is welcomed as long as the groove is right.

2007 is when Sunwaves Festival made its 1st link to a set date and it's celebrated every time since. 1st of May has become an international anthem for a festival long enough to gather people all around the world with one sole purpose: a memorable party where music never stops.
While we can't meet our community on the Black Sea shore this spring, we felt to not let this one pass without trying to reconnect even from our homes.
Sunwaves Festival will go live, with a 24 hours live stream powered by Desperados, partly streamed from Sunrise HUB.
We may skip the usual debut of summer but we'll deliver the same energy by bringing the Sunwaves vibes in your living room.
We do miss you.
And we'll see each other again stronger than before.
