New Wave Podcast 034: Riot Code

The unknown duo formally known as Riot Code have opted to keep their identities hidden, which is far from a gimmick. Their intentions is to have their high energy, rave infused sound do their talking. Quite refreshingly, for once in today’s musical environment, we know more about the artist’s sound than we do about them. Over the past year they have become of the most in demand techno acts in the scene, and their impressive unreleased forthcoming tracks have been appearing across numerous established livestreams, mixes and radio platforms. 

Individually they have established themselves behind the scenes in the music industry, however 2020 was the year they fully announced themselves as artists. Their lock down tapes series gave them a chance to collaborate with young artists and offered a platform to push music in unprecedented times. However it was their own tracks which were gaining the most attention, opting to release edits of tracks that they were passionate about, which they admit were the most fun to produce. Since then their audience has grown which has allowed them to work with several established labels such as Carouse and ReBoot.

We recently caught up with Riot Code to discuss their brand image, the lock down tapes series, production process and how they manage to balance time.
