Range, what's that really mean nowadays? Some people claim it's playing hard and dub techno. Some would say throwing in that Aaliyah track to close out your otherwise disco house set. Do I think that's range? Sure to some extent, but not really, you can go further. 

You know who knows range? 
Skymall Future.

I first saw Skymall play in the wee hours of the morning, encroaching on what I think was 5am. The night was a round table of DJs getting on the decks, filtering in and out of a fuzzed out apartment. Everyone had their niche, a round of deep house, a round of jungle, a round of acid, pretty singular musically but also extremely tasteful. Skymall Future steps up after sitting and chatting quietly all night, I think, okay some more deep house maybe in store. That was true -- but it went deeper than that. 

What felt like night turned immediately into morning, in the best way. Some light has just started to peak into the room and these piano swells were taking us all to flight. I'm still unsure how long this feeling lasted, but when Skymall Future stepped away from the decks, I knew it was time for bed, cuz' ain't nobody was gonna top that.

I say all this because Ben is someone who just loves music, you can tell.
