Next up to dine at the CIA top table is none other than The Infuriator himself, the infamous T>I. Making serious waves over the last few years to say the least, T>I has become a name synonymous with stripped back and minimal trickery and his ‘Locksmith EP’ brings that trademark Norwich Colmans ping as standard, getting you more than ready to lob your Fray Bentos Chicken & Mushroom across the front room. 

We probably all know that anger that comes when you have to call out ‘The Locksmith’. My guy’s going to sting you for a chunk of cash to drill out your front door. This could be the soundtrack to either the drilling or the murder style the track suggests. 

Sounding possibly repentant for lobbing that pie, but probably not, as they definitely deserved it, ‘Bongolian Belt Roller’ rolls and chugs it’s way alongside its classic soul sample. 

And pies are flying all over the shop with ‘Let It Go’, it’s classic breaks teamed with new school drums and whopping bass stabs. And it sure would be a totally ‘Valid Statement’ to say this EP’s gonna pop off; V style samples and knocking bass taking you to some sweaty underground Bristol rave in 2045. 

T>I brings a true four-course meal to CIA with his Locksmith EP – it’s chewy, not chalky.

1. T>I - The Locksmith

Quadrant & Iris are finally back on CIA, with Seattle’s deadliest Drum & Bass duo returning to the fold for yet another master class in future funk. 
Their last foray on the label was actually already six years ago, and with only a handful of weighty and laser precise contributions to the scene in the interim, their return is both overdue and welcome in equal measure. 
A Quadrant & Iris release promises a heady mix of top-drawer production expertly interlaced with melancholy and depth. Their new ‘Double Path EP’ almost seems to reference this, each of the four compositions a twisted journey. 

‘Accurate’ is as it states, straight to the point and the most stripped of the four. ‘Double Path’ pairs scatter gun breaks with an acidic bass before dropping into deeper territory, whilst ‘Ambergris’ is almost like a deep dive into early 2000’s liquid, with ‘Sonder’ tidily wrapping up the package, 
The EP feels like a succinct melding of both artists dance music influences, with a range of bases touched upon, a nod to what inspires them. This is production mastery at it’s finest, so jump right into Quadrant & Iris’ Double Path world.

Su pasión por el Drum & Bass comienza desde la influencia de sus padres a muy temprana edad. Llevándole a frecuentar raves hasta llegar a ser acogido con los brazos abiertos por parte del colectivo ALHARAVE. Así empezó a performar en varias raves y salas de toda Andalucía, llegando a compartir cabina con grandes de la escena. 
Actualmente pertenece a los colectivos: Zer0'2 Soul Collective & Roll In Bass.

Sesiones siempre cargadas de los sonidos frescos, inclusive funk, y underground, rozando el estilo característico de la escena UK, pero con sus toques de jazz y agresividad a los platos. Su performance a los platos invita al puro bassface.
