An exercise in moving between sub-genres, this month’s episode of Deep Rhythms with Cottonmouthkillah starts with fun and upbeat numbers before entering into a deep and driving back half hour. This is the essence of CMK set. To gain control of the dance floor and then slowly descend into the underground. In this hour I model this transition, hypothetically taking the decks over from a vibrant opener and maintaining that energy until the time comes to go deep. Enjoy!
