Montreal based DJ and producer Ostrich debuts on Sublease Music with a double a-side release. Ostrich has already carved a path as a DJ and producer, pushing a minimalistic sound that pulls from downtempo, dub, deep house and techno.

Double Dribble, the title track provides an infectious bassline and airy pads floating on a super tight rhyhtm-section.

In contrast, his second track, Too Dumb To Succumb The Drum focusses on a driving multi layered drum pattern with a wobbling bass and synthie stabs winding their way through, before turning into a futuristic deep house cut.

London based James Dexter returns to Sublease for a stellar remix of Double Dribble. Synth-melodies and housey pads ride on a seriously heavy punching beat setting.

George Smeddles has rapidly risen to prominence within the global music scene, forging a unique style of House music that draws from diverse influences, including Garage, Motown, Jazz, Soul, and Funk. Since bursting onto the scene in 2018 with his smash hit ‘Shake Your Body,’ Smeddles has consistently maintained an impressive trajectory, marked by chart-topping releases such as ‘Start The Party,’ which dominated Beatport in 2019. In 2022, the establishment of his ‘South’ record label and collaborations with industry heavyweights like Darius Syrossian cemented his status, highlighted by achievements like a five-week reign at #1 on Beatport with ‘Back In The Dance’ and an official remix of Indeep’s classic ‘Last Night A DJ Saved My Life.’

Beyond his studio endeavours, Smeddles’ commitment to live performance has seen him headline prestigious venues, including London’s fabric, Amnesia Ibiza, plis renowned festivals like CRSSD and Glastonbury. In 2023, he continued his prolific output with releases on esteemed labels like PIV and Meta while maintaining a packed schedule of international appearances. As he prepares for a two-part release on South Records in March 2024, Smeddles remains a captivating figure in the industry, boasting an ever-expanding repertoire and a calendar filled with upcoming gigs.

I wanted to create something for my legacy: something that could last forever, so my music could be with any person out there forever. The fact that I have so many friends taking part in this album makes it even more special. ‘Reeborn’ is a resume of adventures, friendships, missed flights, collaborations, and hundreds of hours in my Barcelona studio in Marina. My friend and graphic designer made a special artwork for the label that hadn’t ever been used until now. He said: ‘This is you, Reelow, reborn through the music. We all know art stays forever, and that’s what will represent us, after all’. The ultimate message is, ‘Hey, I have been here!’” - Reelow.

Following stellar releases on Sola, SOLOTOKO, Stress Records, and more, promising UK-based youngster Louis Millne makes his debut on FREAK on 12th April with an imposing, gritty underground roller, 'TIGHTEN UP': https://www.beatport.com/release/tighten-up/4503523. 

Despite still being in the early stages of his career, Louis Millne, at just 23, has managed to make a name for himself by performing for established parties such as CIRCUS, Creamfields, and ABODE. He has spent years honing his style and has gained support from the biggest names in the music industry, landing on several of the most respected labels. 2024 has started as it means to go on, with 'Familia' gaining attention on the circuit from Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Paco Osuna, wAFF, Latmun and more, as well as being awarded Arielle Free's Radio 1 'Big Whopper'. Bizen Lopez, born in Palma de Mallorca in 1987, found his passion in Hip Hop, which led him to pursue DJing, focusing on the art of Scratch from a young age. His music has gained recognition from notable artists such as Richie Hawtin, Joseph Capriatti, and Adam Beyer, and he has released tracks on labels like Stereo Productions and Moan Recordings. In 2018, his track “I Feel Like” topped the Hype Tech House charts, while “Analog Vibes” reached the Top 4 in Minimal-Deep. With a style rooted in Techno, Tech House, and Minimal, infused with dub influences, his DJ sets are known for their powerful groove, making him a sought-after performer in clubs worldwide, including Sankeys Ibiza and Supermarket Club Zurich.
