F3NG flips Redlight’s nostalgic heater "9TS (90s Baby)" into a raw, club-ready weapon — a bootleg built for dim basements and strobe-lit after-hours.

Where the original rides on smooth house grooves and throwback swagger, F3NG injects it with a darker pulse: think hypnotic basslines, pumping percussion, and warped vocal chops that hit like VHS static. It’s grimey, it’s bouncy, and it hits that sweet spot between retro and rave.

This one’s strictly for the heads who remember dial-up tones, shell toes, and late-night pirate radio in 2025.

Hollie-May resists your definitions. She’s not a sweet, young thing spinning on the decks for your viewing pleasure. She’s not a novelty act added to a bill in an industry heavily dominated by men. She’s not a female DJ, she’s a DJ, an artist and an activist. She’s unafraid to push past boundaries and defy the typical.

As such, her sound doesn’t fit your expectations, it rumbles you; bold and uncompromising, deep and rolling with mercurial arcs and twists. Her background and influences might be familiar to many of us; getting down to techno as a teen and raving to jungle at free parties before she was old enough to drink, but her sound also broods with a heaviness born of an early love of heavy metal (Hollie-May’s dad played in the thrash metal band Kaotika) and explores a darker side to the form. Now well established she has been shuffling nebulous shadows of big, bad sound next to the greats, performing alongside Ray Keith, Aphrodite, Goldie, Nicky Blackmarket, Bladerunner, Mampi Swift,  and Saxxon, to name just a few.

SHOTGUN SELECTS 001 /// Crave

Dope Ammo and Mix Ten are on one serious link up with Nicky Blackmarket’s Kartoons label. Not only did they bring legendary vocalist Jasmine Knight to the party but also a whole host of remix producers. It’s a package only Dope Ammo and Blackmarket could conjure up and the diversity on offer is certainly one of a kind.

Both Dope Ammo and Mix Ten simply shine alongside Jasmin Knight and the original provides plenty of commercial crossover whilst retaining a huge element of dancefloor pressure. It’s no doubt one for the car and one for the festivals alike. Sublow Hz retains the big area vibes and adds a ton of mid range gritty bass to the mix, making what was once a pretty safe affair, seem more of an attack on the senses.

Jamie S23 reverts back to ‘96, chopping up vocals like a shredder on max output whilst rocking an MA2 bomber jacket in the process. Relative newcomer to the scene, Max Baker demonstrates that you don’t have to be born in the 90’s to represent the ethos of Kartoons and does a fine job about it to boot. Wrapping up this release, AN chuck a technical hard stepper into the mix, growling and twisting through Knight’s silky smooth vocals.

Bournemouth based @KIRA_DNB was born in Poland before moving to the UK where she discovered a love for electronic music and rave culture. KIRA's specialty is the dark, minimal and grotty sounds of drum and bass. Initially intimidated by her surrounding male peers who were into production and mixing, she has overcame her fears and let her love for the music guide her to the decks. Since then her knowledge and musical exploration has led to multiple bookings all over the country. Definitely a talent to watch out for!
