While cities like Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and Chicago all have thriving dance music communities and artists flocking to live there, the state of Arizona continues to foster its own unique scene as well. Over the years there have been a number of impressive festivals and venues that surfaced in the Grand Canyon state, while an increasing number of artists have begun their path there as well. One of those artists is Lance Fairchild.

After setting off on his mission of bringing house and techno to the masses, it's safe to say that Lance Fairchild is off to a rocking start. Behind the decks he's picked up some serious momentum, having won the Goldrush DJ competition in 2019 and opening for the likes of Chris Lake, Angelz, VNSSA, and John Summit, while also consistently delivering a number of mixes for his growing fanbase to feast on. Further, he helped cultivate the local community through the Project Atlas warehouse party series that same year as well.

In the wake of the pandemic, Lance Fairchild is now looking to stake his claim even further. Taking the time with no shows to do something productive, he began to hone his skills in the studio as a producer with his debut EP, Work Yo Back, coming as a result of that. Out now on Modarnity, this three-track smasher will induce any house lover into a shuffle frenzy wherever they might be listening from. And to celebrate the release and give us a taste of Tucson, Lance graced us with a mix for the This Is Home series. So give it a spin and get to groovin'!

Deep Tech Los Angeles Show with Redux Saints - EP013

Taking us on a melodious escapade through the very best of deep house, disco and funk for the 43rd edition in the COGO mix series, is London-based @noudle1.

Noudle has lived a multifaceted career since falling in love with music at an early age. Currently working freelance as a sound engineer for Boiler Room, Worldwide FM and Club Quarantine, the DJ, producer and radio presenter has previously joined forces with Rinse FM and Defected Records and has played at Lost Village Festival, Ministry of Sound and Glastonbury. When she’s not preoccupied with musical endeavours, Noudle runs her own club night called 'Lucidé'. Her latest mix is nothing short of an impeccable soundtrack to the summer.

When you talk about legends in the house scene, Waze is one who should be part of the conversation. Over the past two decades, he dominated the decks at nightclubs and festivals as half of Waze & Odyssey while releasing countless tunes that have ignited dancefloors and caught the ear of tastemakers around the world. In fact, if you've probably heard tracks like "Set It Off," "Down With Tha," and their remix of "Bump n' Grind" booming through speakers, or even caught "Always" which dropped last year.

This year, though, Waze looked to finesse his skills as a solo artist and released his first track for the masses to consume, "Games." Unveiled back in May, this heater is yet another solid jam from the maestro as he offers up stunning piano house grooves and a beat you can't help but move your body to. To take the track to the next level, he looked to London-based singer FABER to provide some vocals that are truly electric. And if you're looking for a fresh twist on the tune, check out the Clapton Club Mix that's absolutely sublime as well.

To celebrate the release of this massive tune and showcase his solo skills as a DJ, Waze threw down on the decks and created a mix that's perfect for the sunny days ahead in the rest of spring and summer. Speaking about the mix itself, he said: “[I] had a lot of fun putting together my first solo DJ set as Waze a few weeks ago. Strictly one for the floor, it features some producers and artists I’m loving at the moment including Shermanology, Kettama, Jaden Thompson, and more. Also getting an airing is the Clapton Club Mix I’ve done of my new single "Games" which YOUSEF dropped at the Circus test event a few weeks back. [It] was amazing to see the video of it going off!"

As for the future, Waze mentioned that he's been busy in the studio working away on "a load of new music and some special edits for my sets.” So make sure to stay tuned as "Games" and this mix are just a taste of what's to come from this legendary artist in 2021.
