Acuna starts his 2023 campaign with a two track single on Chronic. The Brazilian artist had long hiatus from producing after his first release on Chronic way back in 2009, since then he's returned with a fresh energy in and re-cemented himself as one of the go-to's for gritty and playful dancefloor Drum & Bass.

'Breakthrough' is a continuation of his dancefloor hot-streak, with its tense build up leading into slamming drums and gnarly basses. The flip side sees his collaboration with David Boomah 'I Will Be Gone' get the VIP treatment.

With heavy pressure, the stone cold mastermind behind Identity Records, DIS:TURBED, drops another round of minimal heaters designed to wreak havoc on sound systems everywhere. The Fragment EP takes the usual culprits - crunchy snares, stripped back subs, and sinister atmosphere - and seamlessly blends them with searing layers of depth and sound that will leave you buzzing with excitement for days.

The title track “Fragment” sets the stage, ushering in otherworldly stabs of FX and booming drums that shape this release . The sheer weight of the drop instantly transports you to the netherworld, as the vibrating intensity of the sub glues the body in place. With rolling clicky hats and drifting hypnotic Fx worming their way into the mind, this song reveals itself to be a powerhouse in every way imaginable.

Command Strange is a name that's been echoing around the walls of Drum & Bass since 2010, with releases on V Recordings, Hospital Records, Med School, Fokuz, Metalheadz, and an album on DJ Marky's Innerground imprint. He starts his 2023 with a three track release on V Recordings, the 'Hold Me Tight' EP.

The title track sees Command Strange link up with newcomers Beat Merchants to write a club-friendly, steppy roller. Both 'Last Dance' and 'Obsession' are examples of how the Command Strange sound continues to evolve to encompass a harder, nastier style.
