Formation Records is proud to present another mind-bending release from Furniss ‘The Depth’ EP. With four cuts of growling drum and bass flavours that take you on a vast journey through his stylish sonics.

‘The Depth’ begins with a promising introduction once again leading to a drop that is sounding very dark and weighty indeed. This deep and dirty stomper comes with a thick bass and an industrial environment that takes you all the way through.

‘Water Tech 22’ combines ominous arpeggiators and gritty pads will have you counting down the seconds in a sense of dread, while the drop ushers in menacing sonics for a truly deep, dark and gully experience on this heavy-duty creeper.

‘Heartless’ is a track with real attitude. With the drop on this track comprised of a masterful drum beat and a bass that warps and wobbles throughout, adding the depth that that will be ringing in listeners ears.

The final track ‘Magnum Force’ is jungle infused roller. The ominous atmosphere layered with a dub-infused skank leads you to a groove-laden bass that carries you through the spicy drop. This concluding masterpiece is not one to be ignored.

Octopods are one of earth’s most intriguing inhabitants. They come in many shapes and sizes, they’re skilful hunters and the ultimate masters of disguise. They can squeeze into seemingly impossible tiny spaces, instantly change colour and texture to camouflage themselves, or even mimic other creatures like aquatic shapeshifters. Octopuses’ survival is threatened by human fishing activity - overfishing means there’s less prey for them to eat, and they’re often accidentally killed in trawler nets. Please consider buying this release: by donating all proceeds to Sea Shepherd we can help to protect these bizarre but beautiful beings.
