Jam Thieves is an exciting producer based out of Brazil, whose racked up releases across some of the most respected d&b labels across the world over the last 10+ years including RAM, Hospital, Souped Up and more. While Jam Thieves initially started life as a duo, Guilherme continues to plough ahead and represent South American drum & bass on his own with aplomb. He’s amassed more than 1 million streams across his top 3 singles and continues to go from strength to strength with his music. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the Soulvent family with his debut single ‘Donna-Maria / YAM’ which also features battle-hardened producer Arkaik. 

‘Donna-Maria’ is a love song with playful Latin American influences across the vocal sample and percussive rhythms present, before quickly descending into a grotty, low-slung roller. A delightful array of gritty bass tones are on offer across the drop, blending their wide tonality throughout and certainly keeping the listener guessing as the tune progresses. 

On B-side ‘YAM’ Jam Thieves teams up with fellow veteran producer Arkaik to deliver another masterclass in dancefloor damagers. It opens with a decidedly unsettling intro that gives little away but a clear sense of unease, while a fitting MC heralds the drop. The measured progression throughout the drop features moody ride cymbals, hisses-and-pops of percussion and gutturally droning basswork - culminating in a perfect graveyard set topper. 

These 2 weighty pieces of work land in all stores on Friday the 8th of July, and will find themselves more than at home in your music libraries & headphones alike.
