Before possibility,

There was a will, that wanted more to be.

Gravity and energy,

Became a physical reality.

You’ve coalesced into duality,

I just wish I saw what you see.

You’ve shown me a life of highs and lows,

Bliss before I’m broken by your blows.

I see what you’ve created,

I wonder what part I had, you hated.

How does malice and brutality, exist alongside charity?

One thrown low, for the high of enemy’s misery.

Another place, another time, you show me beauty beyond reason and rhyme.

Silently you’re saying that this voice is just cause and effect, 

I see you in the beyond when I reflect.

Are you still there, beyond the seams?

Am I still here, when you wake from these dreams?

But is it good and evil, or the illusion that separates you from me?

When I end, I’ll unfold into you, like you molded into me.

Paper thin, I never knew this was a self I would see.

How could impulse be so heartless?

Does this intricate existence seem so artless?

What haven’t I tried,

To relight the fire inside?

Are fading embers dancing in the dark,

All that remains when I miss your mark?

Is every sin,

Loss of your war within?

I was better than this once,

So hollow, full of wants.

If only,

We didn’t want to hide from what’s beneath.

If only, 

Our hungry hearts could finally shut their teeth.

Could enough creativity,

Remake our reality?

Is pattern recognition,

The way to walk away from repetition?

I know it’s not just my heart that breaks,

When you watch me make these same old mistakes.

Wasn’t I made in the image,

Of your divine visage?

You’re surrounding me as so many places and beings,

But will I ever live to see you spread your true wings?

Is a shadow within ourselves all we will be?

Is a greater lesson lost on me?

Lost in your eloquence,

I’m numb to honest elegance.

How do you make it all go wrong and feel right?

Why did you make the darkness surrounding starlight?

You’ve carved your gilded lilt into my skull like a shadow’s dawn.

Are you the royalty I believe in, or just another pawn?

Even if it’s all a lie, 

What’s the difference of a temporary truth, before I die?

How could I know and love the endless,

When I’m just a partial witness?

Shards of greater glass. 

A future stained by the past.

Am I more than a fragment,

Of what you’ve imagined?

Was this curiosity,

Made into reality?

Is there a light near time’s end,

Where the inescapable outshines our need to pretend?

When every illusion, 

Unravels into the origin,

After you unmake what’s been wrought,

Will you return to yourself without another thought?

Did your essence ever become an existence?

Will this ever be more than nonsense?

Ignoring myself for beliefs I didn’t please,

Did I waste precious time living in parentheses?

(Flowing with the echoes of howling haunts).

Thoughtless

Ephemeral lies spoken by an illusion as it dies.

What is a true enigma, how could it be found within the fear of social stigma?

Reality wouldn’t be such a shock to see, if they didn’t choke the life out of possibility.

If they had a face, would I be told to see it as home?

If they had a choice, would they leave you stranded and alone?

Of fucking course they would, every moment that’s passed, they’ve taken everything they could.

Telling us to see spectrums and sunshine, while they hone our exploitation into something they’d call sublime.

What kind of ungodly arrogance does it take to be the same and call themselves superior?

What kind of ignorance allows the existence of someone so inferior?

How many more times will I twist my meaning into nothing,

In a futile hope to be heard when I say something?

They Aren’t Real

Between the beyond, and what’s within, 

Is my identity, more than a duality?

What would transform this nonsense, into substance?

A ripple echoes between  presence and absence.

Do the inner and outer world meet in a skull, and fold into a soul?

Did energy become an existence,￼

A clockwork rooted in the random, crafted from constants?

And if the emptiness,

Was a formless witness,

Would I end, where you begin?

Nonexistence

Life is finite for now.

Seeing that line, and seeking a rhyme, I’m wondering how.

It could break into something beautiful.

When purpose ends, is what remains, a whole?

How could I make the breaking point peaceful?

How much of life is wasted choosing our lies,

To hold close our selves as we dance into our demise?

Would it ever be a waltz,

When our once-solid ground is full of faults?

How many of us glimpse past the seams of all we’ve known, 

In search of our spirit’s home?

(Flawless),

(Nothingness).

(Is there a monster that we’ve forgotten within),

(Borne from a veil worn thin),

(In a loch) between the waves of quantum flow(?),

What could warp the laws of what we’ll never know?

Could chaos ever free the speech of fate?

Will order forever begin again from the curiosity it couldn’t create?

(Somehow, these days, I’m blind to the best of this enigma),

(That we couldn’t ever give up).

How much of a self did I truly gain,

That was more than just a failure to be plain?

What could be timeless, if it was always worthless, to repeat another of the same?

How much of my reality would cease to be, if I lost all mundanity?

How many thoughts have I reworded beyond respectability?

The double-sighted shards of a temporarily shattered totality

Is Nothing ever existing

Between the spaces separating

If we can’t find a way to create,

Are we doomed to a lesser fate?

Somehow simple pleasures,

Aren’t always held as treasures.

What could we learn from the chaos of a game,

With only the moment to gain?

What good is gold,

To a gaze that thinks it’s all gotten old?

If the truth could change its laws,

For the cost of what once was,

Would it be worth it?

Is there an addiction to repetition that we won’t admit?

Is the need to see the same, more than what could begin to be?

How plainly could I paint a flaw for you to see?

How sanely could I say something as it seems, 

When I disagree?

What more than consistency, 

Builds our normality?

Is it deceit when I say it’s all familiarity?

What kind of lie, 

Could become a truth you won’t deny?

Over, 

And over, 

The links are pulling closer,

Chains building, and breaking, beauty’s beholders.
