REDBRICKGOTHIK is the product of three years of collaborative experimentation between Sydney-based artists, Bract & BAYANG (tha Bushranger). Through bushfires, lockdowns and personal tragedies, the group continued their steady work sewing together concrete, steel and left-of-centre rap. 

The release follows in the tradition of artists like Divine Styler and Deltron 3030 -- and more recently Pink Siifu, billy woods and Moor Mother -- as it leans into unreality. 

REDBRICKGOTHIK paints a vivid picture of Sydney unseen by most, but felt by all: a city of quietude and violence, godlessness and commodity fetishism. More importantly, it is an homage to the rage that arises against this backdrop. 

It is an earnest dedication to the resistant Sydneysiders who grew up freely remixing punk, hip-hop, noise, gabber and delinquency. It is the logical end of anyone whose spirit survived the redhot Sydney melting pot.
