Neon Flakes

It was early 2019 when I decided to start working under the name Dauwpunt. I heavily disliked the alias I had been using up until then (Pulsate), felt a little bit lost in terms of who I was as an artist, and in general just felt like making a fresh start with a new project. Now, 4.5 years (!) and a bunch of remixes later, I'm so excited to finally release the first ORIGINAL song under the Dauwpunt moniker. I really didn't expect it to take me this long either lol. 

I notice that I am kind of fascinated by the relationship between nature and technology which is so often presented as dichotomous. This fascination is at the core of 'Essential Machinery', a weird electronic pop song where I'm pondering the roles of technology and nature in my own life, and ways they intertwine or overlap. It features my own singing and songwriting, for the first time ever! It took years to complete and it's not perfect but I'm really proud of it. I really hope it resonates with people :)
