In this release we present a vocal heavy EP. The journey begins with “Genesis” which is a pretty straightforward track using some uplifting groovy chords and a driving acid line. “Для Меня“ and “The Type For That Flight” use more of a groovy feeling with some serious trance vibes. The last track of the EP is “Days Of Despair” which has a very emotional vibe combined with a heavy base and urgent drums.

Kozha is an up-and-coming Brooklyn-based non-binary artist focused on DJing, poetry, and political theory. Their music explores territories at the boundaries of the bodily experience by bringing together grooves and moods across genres and cultures.

“The inspiration is coming from the dynamic of desire: arresting, self-contradictory, overflowing, and stimulating. A selection of fast-paced punching hard techno and hardcore naturally flows through dark and sexy zones into emotional spaces tender in their irresistibility. The way human bodies move and relate to each other is deeply rooted in the interlocking systems of oppression. Meant to break these chains through self-exploring dancing, this mix seeks liberation and fulfillment in connecting dreams to reality, darkness to light, loneliness to love, forgetfulness to presence in the moment. Founder of Hypnotherapy, Mind Xpansion & Focal Point Records, Jahveri is a New York-based techno artist who began dabbling in music production at 16-years-old. For over a decade he’s mastered and refined his sound, which is nothing short of indelible.

In 2018 he made his performance debut in the New York techno scene as half of the duo: cmnd:Z. Their sound was primarily industrial, dense, and highly dynamic.

In March of 2022, Jahveri decided to take his career in a new direction, and set out as a solo artist. His fully immersive sound strives to create an atmosphere that is hypnotic, rhythmic, and vibrant. His vision was, and continues to be inspired by the ravers themselves.

APS has been dancing on local dance floors since 2015 and began DJing and producing in 2020. He was drawn to the meditative and ecstatic nature of the genre and in the scope of a single party one can regress to an animal-like state but also progress spiritually in equal measure. In his sets and products he seeks to find an underlying rhythm that holds these opposites together, as that difference and repetition works to create an encounter with one's body and desire that breaks apart the coherence of the ego.

This set blends some neu classics, older tracks that fell through the cracks of memory, and recent dance floor favorites. Recorded at home with three CDJs on a Xone92, the set's driving and frantic nature emerged in reflection on a summer of heartbreak. In its grooves and shifts, the set expresses a yearning for what has been lost and actualizing joys in the dark.
