Tebogo Mathiba was born on the 13th September 1980 in Kanye, about 92km south of Gaborone, Capital City of Botswana. 'Growing up in a nuclear family of 6, 2 sisters and 3 brothers, I never had it ease especially in my childhood because mother spent a lot of time in and out of the hospital. My mother however was a woman of faith and she raised and nurtured us in christian faith and principles! This made me to appreciate her more and in 2012 I wrote a MAMA SONG called THARI YA SECHABA!' Tebogo's love and passion for music he says, surfaced at a tender age, performing in Sunday School and later in the Church Choir. He started writing his own lyrics as early 1992... an inspirational artist who does not restrict himself to any musical genre and does music as he feels it. The love for African rhythms, instruments and language has led to him working on an album of 14 tracks all written in Setswana with strong Afro elements, entitled MOTHEO released in the summer of the year 2012.
