"Inspired by my daughter Isabella I offer my version of Katy Perry's "Wide Awake". I got thrown into aesthetic arrest when I heard this song on the radio! I bought it and spent 24 hours dancing around to it, like I know so many have...c'mon admit it! 
I was familiar with Katy Perry in name only. As a (generally) Jazz/rock tenor saxophonist I don't cross paths with pop music too often. However, as those close to me know, my Prince side never dies. 
SO, this is what I present as my version of a song that gave me great joy. I hope it captures some of the spirit of the authors' original creation.
